You just have to find your tribe!

I’ve spent my whole life feeling like I’m “too” - too much, too loud, too chaotic, too disorganised, too over the top.:. But the truth is I’m just me and I can’t be any other way, I just needed to find my people 💕 it’s taken years and years to feel a little bit ok about myself, hitting my 40s definitely feels like a switch has been flipped and I’m much less apologetic about who I am!

There will always be people who think you are “too” but that’s ok because maybe they’re “not enough” for you… and that’s absolutely ok too 💕

AD I am so excited to tell you about this gorgeous campaign from one of my favourites at the group

With their campaign all you need to do is build a heart from LEGO bricks and post it on your social media with the hashtag and in response the LEGO group will be donating LEGO sets to children who really need the joy of play in their lives, isn’t that gorgeous?

The LEGO group have donated over 10 million lego sets to children in hospitals, childrens home and underserved communities since 2017, and this year they’re going to donate more!

I went freestyle with mine, with a little help from Graham (who can’t let a LEGO set go unplayed with), but you can also look up a tutorial on their YouTube Channel - you can go as simple or as wild as you like!

Don’t have LEGO bricks at home? No problem! You can also go into any LEGO store and build a heart using their in store building stations and post your heart afterwards.

So lets all join together and spread a little LEGO joy this holiday season with

My yellow windows are always one of my most popular posts and they are probably one of the easiest and most impactful things I’ve ever done!

Sometimes it’s good to let the inner voices win and pick up that tester pot and paintbrush…. I think they might have a refresh in the new year though, I fancy a different colour?!

A subtle festive addition to a lesser shown corner of our kitchen diner today - I’m still in love with this tea towel artwork I made, such a pretty and easy way to make a statement! Kind of wishing I’d moved our robot hoover out of shot though 😅

Ad - Christmas shopping with

Making Christmas shopping very easy this year, I went to Joybuy to find some amazing deals - I picked up a teddy for my little boy (which was only £8.99!), aftershave for Graham (£36.99) and I figured I deserved a treat too… and what better than some bubbles!.

Check out Joybuy at the link in my bio, and see what brilliant bargains you can find!

I cannot stress how important it is to listen to the voices telling you to make your home a joyful happy place to be.

Also once you get to your 40s you stop caring what pretty much anyone thinks about anything you do so just crack on is my advice!

Who lives at the top of your tree?!

Swipe to see dolly’s pink tree upgrade this year…

This weekend was the Christmas light switch on in our village and we gave a tradition of coming home afterwards, putting the fire thing on Netflix (for lack of an actual fire!) and decorating the tree.

I’m not a Christmas perfectionist, and I actually find Christmas decorating quite overwhelming so I’m trying to just go with the flow this year. I mostly have things which have memories attached to them, including the 75 yr old angel on the top of our main tree, and my Bethlehem set (swipe to number 7!) which has been handed down our family for generations with each one adding their own unique part of an alternative Christmas story (polar bears and tortoises surely were present at the birth of Christ right?!)

Bonus pics of Wilson being dead handsome and Peggy amongst some presents 🎁 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛

Hope you’ve all had gorgeous weekends! And Godspeed to anyone about to enter into 25 days of elves taking over their homes, Ben is determined to catch ours arriving on film tonight, wish us luck! X

A reminder that sometimes when things don’t go to plan and you have to think fast magic can happen!

I was accused of lying about this mistake when I first posted about it 😂 but we genuinely did run out of wall tiles before we could finish the room, the decision to use a boarder of floor tiles around the bottom of the room has proven to be one of my fave design features though, don’t you agree?

I love this hack for making huge artworks for a tiny price!

Teatowels come in so many gorgeous designs it always feels like a shame that they don’t get shown off more and this is such a good way to do it, and you can switch them up regularly so you can have a changeable art gallery on your wall!

I picked this one up at the weekend from my mate Liz Harry who is an amazing designer and it was just perfect to ease into the season - I love the colours in here I think it makes a real statement, and of course I fully intend to follow its instructions!

I already had this frame but in the last I’ve just used a really affordable one from Ikea and it’s worked just as well!

Looking back at my favourite posts this year and I thought this one deserved another outing! The resale/decor argument will never ever make sense to me, why wouldn’t you want to make your house your home for as long as you’re in it?

What do you think do you think we should decorate as much as we want or worry about a fictional future person who will do what they want in their home too?!

Even for renters I’m firmly team decorate! I have decorated every space I’ve ever inhabited, even my uni halls I had fabric draped over the walls instead of painting - where there is a will there is a way!

Ad, Who doesn’t love gingerbread at Christmas?! Absolutely in love with these adorable cookie cutters - they make the cutest biscuits!

Love adding to my Christmas crockery collection each year too, those holly plates are so pretty for the Christmas table!

I got the recipe from BBC good food - it was quite a dry recipe mix so made nice crunchy biscuits that really held their shape well, you could even pop a hole in the top and make them into decorations!
