The month of Tevet primarily marks the beginning of the tragic Babylonian siege of Jerusalem by King Nebuchadnezzar in 2 Kings 25, starting on the 10th day leading to the First Temple's destruction.
KING NEBUDCHADNEZZAR his name means “ PROPHET IN A JAR”
HE WAS A RUTHLESS KING KNOWN AS THE KING OF BABYLON
ONE who signifies pride.
He had a huge statue erected of himself… when DANIEL the prophet was in exile in BABYLON.
BABYLON IS REKOWN FOR THER OOCULT
THEY SLAUGHTERED ANIMALS FOR SACRIFICES AND THE 4 SADRACH MESHIACH AND ABEDNIGO ENDED UP IN A FIERY FURNESS DUE TO NOT BOWING TO THIS IDOL..
Jesus met them and was the 4th man in the fire,
The desecration to the first temple happened in TEVET IN 2 KINGS 25 we see
It says
9 And he burnt the house of the LORD, and the king's house, and all the houses of Jerusalem, and every great man's house burnt he with fire.
We see GODS PEOPLE endured great persecution and everything they had and the temple of GOD destroyed

What did they do… , the Kingdom of Judah ended, its elite and much of its population were exiled to Babylon (the Babylonian Exile)
LIVING IN BABYLON is similar to the born again believer being in the world.
