Bethnal Green Tesco today.

A video circulating online appears to show a chaotic scene unfolding in a supermarket in Bethnal Green. In the footage, there is a visible commotion involving multiple individuals, with shouting and screaming heard in the background. At one point, a man can be seen allegedly kicking a security guard in the back.

According to the individual who shared the video, an undercover police officer was present and was reportedly being confronted by members of the public until he revealed his badge. Shortly after, uniformed officers arrived at the scene, although some witnesses have claimed that the police response appeared relatively subdued.

While the exact cause of the altercation remains unclear, no serious injuries have been reported at this time. Authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident.

Despite the disturbance, the original poster maintained that Bethnal Green remains “the safest place to live in London.”

*Witness appeal following fatal collision in Tower Hamlets*

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and any road users with dash cam footage to come forward following a fatal collision in Tower Hamlets.

Police were called at 00:25hrs on Saturday 23 November to reports of a collision involving a bus and a cyclist on Westferry Road, E14.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended. The cyclist, a 45-year-old man, was treated at the scene. Despite the efforts of the medical team he died at the scene.

Officers have been in contact with his next of kin and continue to provide them with support.

The driver of the bus stopped at the scene and is assisting officers with their enquiries. There has been no arrest.

Anyone who witnessed this incident or has footage should call police on 101 or post on X quoting reference CAD178/23NOV24.
