Powerful elderly men and women who are in power it is over for you. The younger generation is not buying anything you are trying to sell. You can organize as many lectures and seminars in schools and colleges as you want, try as hard as you can to promote patriotism it isn’t working. Patriotism comes naturally when there are equal opportunities, strong infrastructure, and an effective system. When you provide your people with basic necessities and guarantee their rights, you don’t need to go to schools and colleges to tell students to love their country they will do so on their own.
Young minds Generation Z, Generation Alpha know exactly what is going on. Despite your constant efforts to sell them your version of patriotism, they can see through it.
Thanks to the internet, and whatever little education we still have left, despite your best attempts to keep the public as uneducated as possible, you have failed. You have failed to tell people what to think they are thinking for themselves. Maybe they are afraid to say their thoughts out loud because they like breathing. But they can see through your self-constructed masks of virtue and righteousness. You may stay in power by force, but people do not care about you. You cannot even step outside your homes without security;
if that doesn’t tell you something about your popularity among the people, then you should reassess.
The youth have had enough, and since they have learned that they cannot challenge the powerful, they are leaving the country. It would be idealistic to think they will start a movement against corruption. They will leave quietly and never look back, because their friends who spoke up were silenced.
But for the boomers, it is over. There is no future for them. There is a massive gap between the young population and the current rulers. No common ground exists. Generation Z wants fast internet; those in power want stronger firewalls. Generation Z wants affordable smartphones; boomers want to tax them. Generation Z wants fewer restrictions on freelancing; boomers want more regulations. There is no point of convergence between them. That is why the boomers have already lost.
You can start as many wars as you like Generation Z will turn them into memes. Censor the mainstream media Generation Z will jump to platforms like Rumble, YouTube, and Discord to voice their opinions. Boomers, you can no longer censor ideas. Those days are gone when you could fool people. No one is being fooled anymore. Yes, we don’t have libraries. Yes, we can’t afford to rent apartments. Yes, we can’t afford to buy cars. Thanks to your efforts, the economy handed down to us is worse than your morals.
Yet despite all this, we keep going finding comfort in books, social media, coffee shops (as much as I hate them), and double-patty beef burgers. We keep swimming in dirty waters. We don’t watch your speeches on TV because most of what you say is laughable. We already have stand-up comedy why would we watch mainstream media?
Times are changing, and the sooner you understand it, the better. But you don’t care. Your children are abroad, you earn millions every day, you have unlimited power, you eat the finest food and drink clean water why would you care?
You will care when you realize that no one is listening to you anymore.
Do you know why?
Generation Z has their headphones on and Spotify paid. If the situation becomes unbearable, half of them will have the resources to leave; the other half will play you their music and not in a pleasant way.
Boomers, we are fed up. We are no longer buying your narrative.
It has become outdated.
