Lots of house music has a vocal element to it, some might be electronically generated but a lot is a real human being exercising their talent... but what is the vocal range of the human race?

Soprano: the highest female voice, being able to sing C4 (middle C) to C6 (high C), and possibly higher.

Mezzo-soprano: a female voice between A3 (A below middle C) and A5 (2nd A above middle C).

Contralto: the lowest female voice, F3 (F below middle C) to E5 (2nd E above Middle C). Rare contraltos possess a range similar to the tenor.

Tenor: the highest male voice, B2 (second B below middle C) to A4 (A above middle C), and possibly higher.

Baritone: a male voice, G2 (two Gs below middle C) to F4 (F above middle C).

Bass: the lowest male voice, E2 (two Es below middle C) to E4 (the E above middle C).

Can Dogs Hear Music?
It’s true that a dog’s ears are more sensitive than our own. So, they will be able to hear the songs that you play.

But, it also means they can hear at higher frequencies than we can, so when you listen to music with your dog around, it’s important to remember this.

A dog’s hearing range falls between 47 and 44,000 Hz. In comparison human hearing ranges vary from as low as 20 to 20,000 Hz.

Just like humans, certain types of music can calm your dog while others can hype them up. And, many dogs show preferences for certain types.

BUT....... Do Dogs Like Music?
Perhaps the unsurprising answer to this question is yes! Dogs do enjoy music. And not only do they enjoy it, they have musical preferences unique to their own personalities!

Many people that play music for their pups notice changes in their behaviour, which leads us to make assumptions about their feelings towards the music.

Reactions can include calm behaviour, agitation, barking, howling, and more. In fact, howling is one of the most common ways that dogs react to music.

But, different dogs will react differently.

Exigo Records is an Independent UK House music label. Exigo believe in creating a non-limiting environment where professional and upcoming producers can enjoy flexibility, freedom and unhindered creativity. The label was founded in a small studio in East London in 2020 in the early hours of the morning during an inspiring late night music production session.

Exigo envision a future where all styles of quality House music are produced under an umbrella of like-minded administrators, facilitators, and idealists. Exigo will constantly dedicate its resources to ensuring that innovation never stops. They have an invested interest in helping artists and new talents advance and grow their careers to maximum potential as well as expelling, developing and distributing music. Exigo’s social identity and responsibility also extends to hosting events and showcasing the labels DJs, Producers, and Artists. This is a conscious attempt to maintain their values while also ensuring that their resources are diligently managed and properly utilized to facilitate further production activities.
