A six-month pilot phase sparked valuable conversations, tested ideas, and highlighted the power of intergenerational connection. It also raised deeper questions about what kind

of structured support and opportunities would create the most impact. Now, we’re taking time to reflect and consider how Lumin might evolve to meet these needs in a meaningful way. We believe that when women connect across generations, share knowledge, and explore ways to collaborate, great things can happen.

When is it THE THING, and when is it just… avoiding the thing? 🤔

Procrastination isn’t just poor time management — it’s often fear in disguise. Fear of imperfection, fear of failure, fear of putting something out into the world before it feels “ready.” But here’s the kicker: waiting for perfect is just another way of staying stuck.

A podcast this week had us laughing out loud because, wow, we really do trick ourselves into thinking we’re productive. Prepping, planning, tweaking — all important, but NOT actually doing the thing. (Swipe through for a reminder of what isn’t doing the thing!)

One way to break the cycle? Accountability. Surrounding yourself with people who nudge you forward, whether that’s a co-working session, a quick check-in, or just someone to say “just hit send!” 💡

Why we need to talk — and break out of our echo chambers

Recent research from Channel 4 reveals a surprising paradox: Gen Z is politically engaged and socially conscious, yet many are disillusioned with democratic institutions. Even more concerning, 45% of young men surveyed believe gender equality has gone too far.

This is a wake-up call. If we want to bridge these divides, we need more intergenerational conversations — not just at work but across society. These discussions help us learn, challenge assumptions, and foster real collaboration.
