We definitely didn’t have the perfect introduction, but this is how it actually turned out 🥹 We learned along the way, slowed things down when we needed to, and now seeing Smoky and Nyra together makes me so happy. 🤍

Every cat is different and this is just our experience, not a guide on how to introduce cats. 🐾

We knew you’re meant to keep them separate at first and introduce them slowly, which was exactly what we were planning to do… but when we got home, we just couldn’t resist showing Smoky his new little sister 🥹

They actually seemed completely fine and really curious about each other at first, so we let them interact a little while supervising them. But then Smoky started getting a bit too rough with her and she got scared 🥺

After that, we kept them completely separate for the next 2 days and started introducing them again slowly. It took them a few days to build trust, but seeing them now playing together, following each other around and Smoky grooming her makes me so happy 🥹🤍

Definitely not the perfect introduction, but we got there in the end 🐾

A lot has been happening behind the scenes lately and we can finally share a little bit of it… we bought our first home 🥹🏡🤍

We always joked that one day we’d buy a house for Smoky… and somehow we actually did 😂🐾 Having a home where we never have to worry about whether our pets are welcome makes this feel even more special, but that’s a story for another day 👀

Of course, Smoky had to come and inspect his new home first. He was so curious at the beginning, but it quickly got a little overwhelming in the garden and all he wanted was cuddles and comfort 🥹🤍

Can’t wait to watch him make this place his own and share this new chapter with you 🏡🐾
