It’s good to trust, but once trust is gone, apologies mean nothing.
Ugandans trusted their leaders until there was nothing left to trust.

If a government cannot be trusted with what doesn’t belong to it, how can we trust it with what does?
Everything ministers, MPs, and officials have looted belongs to Ugandans — yet they expect us to believe their excuses and bogus explanations.

Time is overdue for citizens to wake up and reject this madness.

East African Federation - The Challenge of 1964

The Baganda, who have their own legislature, are most fiercely opposed to an East African federation. New Ministers go through ancient Baganda swearing-in ceremony.

Buganda long ago rejected the idea of federation, fearing its identity would be lost. It is no good Kenyans and Tanganyikans dismissing the fears of the Baganda with a wave of the hand and a cry of "Pan Africa first!" The Baganda are proud nation with a proud history and their fears of federation's ending that history, or swallowing it up, are real.

Uganda needs a Federal System of Governance — not this savage and exploitative unitary system.

Under federalism, power and resources are shared fairly through:
🇺🇬 A Federal Senate (elected every 4 years)
🏛 A Federal Parliament (elected every 4 years)
🏠 Regional Houses of Representatives (elected every 4 years)
👥 Regional Houses of Lords (appointed based on each region’s culture and traditions).

Only through such a structure will self-determination, equity, and sustainable development be achieved — and end the dependency syndrome crippling our nation.

The struggle has been reduced to personalities, not principles.
Until we confront and reform the system, Uganda will keep changing faces but never the foundation.

Uganda’s biggest mistake after Obote was keeping his fake unitary system designed by colonialists for resource control. True unity begins with strong local governance — federalism — where every region manages its own affairs while contributing to the whole.

Until power and resources are shared equitably between regions and the center, we’ll be ruled — not represented. ✊🏾
