Abhishek Sharma lit up Delhi with a stunning 30-ball century against Afghanistan in the third T20I, breaking Rohit Sharma’s record for the fastest T20I century by an Indian.

He went on to smash 108 off 34 balls, including 11 sixes, powering India to 221/7 before Afghanistan were bowled out for 94. India completed a 3–0 series sweep with a 127-run victory.

A milestone knock that will be remembered in Indian T20I cricket.

An unusual and disturbing incident has emerged from Purnia, Bihar, where a family reportedly held a symbolic funeral for their 18-year-old daughter after her inter-caste marriage.

The woman had married her partner in court and later told a local court that she had chosen him willingly. Following this, her family prepared an effigy carrying her photograph, took out a symbolic funeral procession and performed last rites, declaring that they had ended their relationship with her.

The incident from Chapay village has sparked discussion around inter-caste marriages, family opposition and social attitudes toward individual choice.

⚖️Jhiram Valley Case: 10 Convicts Sentenced to Death

More than 13 years after the 2013 Jhiram Valley Maoist attackin Chhattisgarh, a Special NIA Court in Jagdalpur has sentenced all 10 convicted accused to death.

The attack on May 25, 2013, targeted a Congress ‘Parivartan Rally’ convoy in Bastar and claimed the lives of several political leaders, civilians and security personnel.

The court had convicted the 10 accused earlier this month before pronouncing the sentence on September 16, 2026. The defence has indicated that the verdict will be challenged before the High Court.
