Six men have been sentenced for their involvement in a conspiracy to supply large amount of class A drugs across Stoke-on-Trent.
Following an investigation by our Major and Organised Crime Proactive department, six men were jailed at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Friday (1 August).
Jimran Mohammed, 37, from Cobridge, Stoke-on-Trent, was jailed for ten years after pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply a controlled drug of class A – he**in and crack co***ne.
Armani Yargol, 34, and John Njau, 50, both of no fixed address, were both sentenced to seven years and six months after being found guilty of conspiracy to supply a class A controlled drug of class A – he**in and co***ne.
Noor Mohammed, 55, from Shelton, Stoke-on-Trent, was sentenced to four years and six months and Zain Kabir, 27, from Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, was jailed for three years and one month after being found guilty of the same offences.
Azar Iqbal, 46, from Cobridge, Stoke-on-Trent, was sentenced to six months behind bars, suspended for two years, after admitting converting criminal property / money laundering.
Jimran was first identified as a suspect following an investigation into the ‘Q’ drugs line operating in Stoke-on-Trent.
We then launched a proactive, covert investigation that led detectives to identify a number of individuals assisting Jimran.
Through meticulous work by detectives and analysts, police were able to show that Jimran played a leading role through the conspiracy.
The investigation concluded when the ‘Q’ drugs supply line was seized from Jimran and drugs were seized from his associates.
