5DNET is proud to announce a powerful new collaborative project between DRN01 and Cid Poitier, delivering a two-track masterclass in 140-style dubstep engineered specifically for the underground purists.

This release represents a convergence of two distinct but perfectly aligned creative forces. Having first bonded at one of the inaugural Outlook Festivals in P**a, Croatia, the duo have spent years cultivating a shared philosophy on sound system culture. Their creative partnership is built on a foundation of mutual trust and an uncompromising commitment to the "deep, dark, stripped-back" aesthetic that has defined their evolution.

True to their ethos — “Deep, dark, stripped-back with a twist of dub” — the tracks are a study in minimalism and sonic weight. DRN01 leads the vocal charge, layering the heavy production with positive, thought-provoking schemes.

Cid Poitier brings the project’s signature atmospheric depth, defined by his unique approach to production:

"I make underground sound system music: deep, tribal, soulful, dark, hypnotic, and dubby/Junglist/dancehall influenced meditation music."
This collaboration acts as a "musical cure," blending spiritual undertones with the raw, uncompromising grit of 140 BPM bass music. As DRN01 notes, the trust between the two is total: "I know anything Chris [Cid] does is going to be fire, so I can pretty much leave it in his capable hands." Beneath the intensity of the production, the release also retains a touch of back-to-basics dark comedy — a hallmark of their long-standing friendship.
