Remembering Warren Covington on his birthday. Covington was an American big band trombonist who after the death of Tommy Dorsey was asked to form a new Tommy Dorsey band, which he led, touring and recording for Decca, into 1961. Among his hits with the Dorsey band was "Tea for Two Cha Cha", which sold over one million copies, and was awarded a gold disc. The track peaked at #3 in the UK Singles Chart in 1958.

Sad to announce the death of popular actress and singer Grace Chang (Ge Lan) in Hong Kong on 3 August 2026. Grace Chang guested on the Dinah Shore Chevy show in 1959 and was the first Chinese actress to perform on American television during a special international-themed broadcast. That performance resulted in Capitol Records issuing her album in the USA.
