What a busy, busy but super productive weekend out in Greenhill!

We kicked off with a well attended Surgery at Greenhill Library, which ended up lasting 2hrs! We then delivered our latest edition of Greenhill News with updates around the new lighting we have provided funding for and those horrific botched planters in the town centre.

We met with Greenhill SNT for an engagement session outside St Johnโ€™s Church. Along the way we also popped in to welcome some new businesses to the Town Centre. We finished off going past the growing rubbish and graffiti at Art Park, which aside from looking and smelling extremely unsightly, is a fire hazard and is also encouraging ASB - we raised this at Cabinet earlier in the week and have asked the Council to address this as a matter of urgency!

We have been working to keep your town centre safe through our ๐‡๐š๐ซ๐ซ๐จ๐ฐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐€๐ ๐š๐ข๐ง๐ฌ๐ญ ๐‚๐ซ๐ข๐ฆ๐ž Partnership with 7 bans issued to criminals in the area. HBAC meetings with member businesses are vital for identifying crime trends and potentially banning repeat offenders from the town centre.

So far this year, 27 offenders have received banning orders totalling 48 years with a further 5 individuals issued warnings for their criminal or anti-social behaviour.

The BID has worked alongside Harrow Police in securing CBOs (Criminal Behaviour Orders) for our most prolific and dangerous offenders.

So far we have helped facilitate the removal of 3 of these offenders and are actively monitoring to make sure they do not return, sending a clear message that Harrow is not a place to commit crime.

We spent a windswept afternoon today at the Lexicon development on Gayton Rd with Gareth Thomas MP and Greenhill SNT.

We met with the residents that lived there to discuss serious concerns around ASB, safety and issues with the playground and crossings amongst other things. There was also much anger and frustration over the money and time wasted on the recent concrete planters in the town centre.

We came away with some positive actions to address some of the issues raised. Watch this space!
