Happy Sunday ✨

I appreciate our bedroom so much right now as the rest of the house has either walls down, holes in floors or is literary open to the elements 🥶

I’m such an autumnal girl and I’m gutted I’m not decorating my house with cute decor and drinking lattes under a fur blanket with a pumpkin shape mug at the mo but the setting would kill my vibe right now! I’m loving seeing everyone lapping it up though and trust me this time next year I’ll might even drink my lattes dressed as a pumpkin to make up for it 😜🤣

I can’t even plan for Christmas, it’s looking like we will only be having 1 of the 5 trees up this year 😔 but again, I’ll make up for it next year… I’m going to start planning my summer parties instead ☺️

Utility room planning! ✨

The scalloped mermaid tile sample I have is just perfect 👌🏻

I’m having pink units (don’t tell Marc 😜) I know will give me the perfect shade 😊

With the brass hardware and fluted butler sink to finish it off… 🫶🏼

I’ve wanted a utility room since the day we viewed this house and it has always been the room I’m most excited about designing and completing (well this and the kitchen)

Now that the garage conversion is underway I can really get a feel for the size of the room 🤗

Posting a pic of my beautiful bedroom because the building work pics are offending me…😜

So much is going on here at the mo, not so much with the extension but the renovation of the existing house is in full swing!
We have knocked the porch out and started knocking through to the garage! It’s freezing in here and I’m eating dust for fun 🤣

The steel columns for the extension are going in next Wednesday, then it will be a couple of weeks until the entire back wall comes out 😳😬 I’m excited to get an idea of the size of the space so I can start designing and planning 🤗

I’ve got a couple of new things for the bedroom and en-suite that I’m looking forward to showing you over the weekend 🫶🏼 xx

It’s a waiting game!

Patiently (or not so) waiting for the dreaded email from the new architect!

We will soon know if the new back wall and steel needs to be taken down along with the footings being dug back out…😩😠😤

Hopefully I will know by the end of the day… I think my refresh button might break soon 😏

I’m going to soak my troubles away in my lush bath tonight… the only good thing about the kids being back at school is the early nights!

I’d like to think we’ll be celebrating good news but I can’t see it myself…

I feel like I’ve missed loads from my fellow renovators as I’ve not been on here… I’ll have a good catch up this evening 🥰 xx

In LOVE with our sockets & switches!
They were so worth the wait, I HAD to get the right shade of brushed brass! We got there in the end 🙌🏻
The quality is 👌🏻

I’ve been away from instagram for a few days, I’ve had some personal stuff to deal with and we have hit a bump in the road with our building works but that’s for another day, I’m too stressed to talk about it right now and I’ll know more on Thursday so I’ll update you then 🥺 All works have stopped for the time being 😩
I knew it was going way too smoothly, luckily our builder is so sound and calm and he is keeping me from losing it…🤯

Over 3000 of you interested in our home renovation ☺️
That might not be a lot compared to some of the beautiful home accounts on here but for me, someone who keeps their circle very small it’s a lot! I’m not just sharing and updating to family and close friends anymore 🥰
I’ve only shared our loft conversion so far and apart from a few that find it odd that I have a bath in my bedroom 🫣 you have all been so lovely, Thank you!

We are currently having a kitchen extension and while that’s going on we are working our way down from the top floor…
4 bedrooms! Starting with our 13 year old, our only daughter out of 4 children 💕 I have HUGE plans for this room and it starts tomorrow 😬
For those of you that know us, you can imagine the requests from Tillie 🤣 her wish list is 😮‍💨
This image is where the newness ends, this is our new stairwell which is panelled to perfection 🙌🏻 I can’t wait to carry it on to the landing on the middle floor 🫶🏼 xx

🧐OPINIONS PLEASE…

I get so many questions asking how much things cost!
It instantly makes me wince, I hate money talk! BUT, this is a sharing app right? You get inspiration from instagram right? You research on Instagram like you would use google for info/prices etc RIGHT?

So my question is: Is it unsavoury to share costings? When people ask, I want to be helpful and when I’m planning, I would ask the question if I was working out budget etc…

I had a comment not long ago saying I was showing off and that I should be more sensitive due to the cost of living crisis! ‘It’s unfair to rub your new extension in people’s faces’!!! 😏😳

It’s stoped me sharing certain things but really this is my page and if you don’t like you can unfollow right?

What are your thoughts..? 💭

The truth is I have a huge passion for interiors and I love designing our home, I always have! Not only that, I love the taking of the pictures and the editing of the videos side of things too… 🥰

✨I can’t wait any longer for a soak in our beautiful bath! WE’RE MOVING IN 🙌🏻

I’m going to deep clean it and move our stuff in over the next couple of days… 😬

In other news… our footings are dug, building inspector is due in the morning and then the concrete can be poured! 🙌🏻

We have a really busy weekend ahead and one child with a broken foot but I’m loving the chaos 🫣 xx

Today was day 1 of our rear extension and the digging of the footings is well under way! 🙌🏻
We have ALOT of work to do here with a 9x6m extension, a garage conversion and full ground floor renovation 😳 but, I’m here for it! I’m not putting a time frame on it, hoping to just enjoy the journey 😬 Bring it on… xx

A couple of exciting updates!! 🤎

My dressing table mirrors have been fitted today 🙌🏻 Can’t wait to show you…
Only a handful of things to do now and this room is complete!✔️ I think we may move in at the weekend! 🛁☁️💫

Big News! The builder has confirmed a start date! Phase II starts on Monday! I’m so nervous/excited all at the same time, is that normal?! 🤷🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️
So, footings for the big back extension with be dug and filled by the end of next week 😳 I have a feeling my feet aren’t going to touch the ground for the next few months…😩😬 x
