Kingfish Maine can finally start building its large fish farm in Jonesport.
After 4 years of legal fights, the highest court in Maine said YES to the project.

Kingfish will raise yellowtail kingfish on land
Court cases tried to stop it — all failed
The company has had permits since 2021
Construction can now begin

Project started back in 2019
Some locals were against it
Three lawsuits were filed
Courts approved the farm each time
Final court win came now
🐟 What Will the Farm Do?
Grow 8,500 tons of fish per year
Use clean recycled water
Run on solar and wind energy
No chemicals or antibiotics
Fish raised in on-land tanks, not the ocean
