Love is Just a Verb

Love is Just a Verb Che Guevara said "At the risk of seeming ridiculous, let me say that the true revolutionary is guided by a great feeling of love" It's too much! It's horrible.

We are tired of teenagers killing teenagers. We are not here to lecture....We are here to offer a solution. We have an idea.......

A very simple BUT HIGHLY effective idea. But this idea means nothing without your PARTICIPATION. This is what we need you to do!!! If you notice a stranger wearing our special symbol, remember that it’s more than a symbol or a badge, it's a visual invitation, a symbol

ic prompt asking people to:-

1) SMILE and approach anybody you see wearing our emblem (called The Mould Breaker) and be prepared to expand, build, collaborate, discuss, exchange and grow. YOU ARE WORTHY OF BEING NOTICED!!! Our vision is simple, we want to Reignite the village mentality! Why is it that every time I walk down the road no one says hello, everyone keeps themselves to themselves. We cannot talk about ending youth violence UNTIL we do the simple things first!!! The youth don't talk to the elders, the elder's don't reason with the youth, the youth are SCREAMING for role models and cannot find them. It is time to BE THE CHANGE! There has never been a symbol that encourages people to 'Break the Mould" and make that positive connection. Gang members wear different colours. Police Officers wear a uniform. Football teams have colours. Businessmen wear suits. Soldiers wear uniform. What do roles models or change makers wear? If you are proactive, serious about ending youth violence, supporting the youth to reach their full potential and affecting positive change, then wearing the Mould Breaker will definitely connect you with other like minded people. We want as many positive people as possible, globally, to wear our symbol. Wearing this symbol means that you need to:-

1) Be brave: Insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. If you see someone wearing the “Mould Breaker“, be brave, make that first step and watch the magic happen. Take part in our challenges and contribute towards a global movement

2) Be approachable: Facebook and Twitter breeds’ isolation by the creation of a cyber world devoid of human contact. All we want people to do is Smile a little more. Make yourself approachable, you are what you think about

3) Connection: Now that you are approachable and welcoming, people might try and converse with you. If that happens all you need to do is promote the things that you love! Share ideas, complements, products and services with people who positively catch your attention. This could be the beginning of a new relationship! Network!

4) Collective Consciousness: Even though we are all diverse, unique and special in our own little way, we still have the ability to work together on one common objective, despite disagreements or differences in views. Our single objective is this – Love what you do, and do what you love, and connect with people who can help you get there. Lets start a revolution.

5) Own it: Love is a Verb is not an organisation or a charity. We are a habit and all we ask is that you try out this new habit. Be the change! Additional Information

The History (Read if you got time)
In the film Avatar 2009 they used the term
"I SEE YOU”
Today we walk past each other like no one sees anyone”

Many use this word and demand respect on a daily basis but only 5% of people really understand what Respect actually is. SOURCE: Online Etymological Dictionary.....The word 'Respect' Originates from Old French and directly from the Latin word respectus meaning "looking at, the act of looking back (or often) at one," noun use of past participle of respicere "look back at, from re- "to do again + specere (spectator, specticles) to look at"

Respect literally means to repeatedly look at something. Members of the northern Natal tribes of South Africa greet one another daily by saying “Sawa bona”, which literally means: “I see you.” The response is “Sikhona” which means: “I am here”. This exchange is important, for it denotes that ‘until you ‘see’ me, I do not exist; and when you ‘see’ me, you bring me into existence. Members of these tribes go about their day with this personal validation from everyone they encounter – seen for who they are.

14 May 2014:

Something has gone wrong. Very wrong. And we have to fix it. We simply do not look at each other anymore. We don't see the value in people anymore. Things just seem so detached! Many have confirmed that people in London (especially) are very anti-social and divided both economically, socially and spiritually. Many are lost in social media, or emails or Facebook or Twitter and these mediums are destroying our ability to effectively communicate in our work relationships, in our marriages, in our dating life, in our relationships with our friends, kids, nieces and nephews, with our parents, and our siblings. We shout at the world loudly without ever speaking a word. We vent without ever having spoken to a person, or picked up the phone. We are cowards now. We simply prefer to be anonymous, and we have managed to figure out how after thousands of years as a human species to avoid the precious and priceless art of conversation. Black people, especially youths, killing each other in a low-level genocide. Something that has continually occurred every damn month to the point that it has now become normal! Once upon a time it was said that it took a village to raise a child, a village that had power. Let's bring that back!

Reminder!!!!!!!

Yesterday, I was reminded that being a young Black boy is one of the hardest experiences on this planet.

Being a young Black boy in a world that often seems to despise you is terrifying for most to even think about, let alone experience.

For those that don't know, we have been running Manhood/boyhood to manhood sessions for the past 9 years in the community.

Last night was no different. Young Masters, of their own free will came from different parts of London to reason and hold a meds with us elders in our safe space.

After our session however one of our young masters was detained but not arrested simply for being Black. It was horrible to witness 10 feds surround him for being who he is. The language and careless approach was disgusting, clearly trying to trigger this young master into violence. Yes, they let him go, but it was clear that our sons are being terrorised—on the streets by the police, by their peers with swords, in classrooms by a racist system, through mainstream weaponised media, and even in their own minds.

For some, they cannot even find peace at home!

It’s heartbreaking to see that the identity of being a young Black boy is not celebrated, especially when the world looks to them for ideas, inspiration, and creativity. They come like a battery.

Before the incident afterwards, during our session, we discussed the blessings of being black, a black boy in fact. We always sharing jewels and blessings about being black, but its clear it wasnt enough to teach and share, they need to feel it, see it abosrb it!!!!

So there we are, sitting in a circle reasoning and the question was asked - SHARE SOME BLESSINGS ABOUT BEING A YOUNG BLACK BOY. I was saddened when the young masters could only think of jerk chicken and nice hair when asked about the benefits of being Black.

This reflects our shortcomings. While these cultural aspects are wonderful, they barely scratch the surface of what it truly means to be Black.

We often hope that these boys are growing up in a world similar to the one we knew as kids. But this is not the case. The age of AI, algorithms, and disconnection has created a different beast altogether. It is far more sophisticated, and the programming runs deep—so deep that it leads many to believe everything is fine. Many parents think that their child will be ok.

The decline is so subtle, we are in the same boat as the young boys, and the multiple distractions has us blind and fooled.

We need to engage in deeper and more meaningful conversations about our identity, heritage, and the rich history that shapes who we are. It’s vital for our young ones to understand the strength that comes from our ancestry, the greatness within our community, and the immense potential each of them holds.

This Is Our EARTH Cycle.

We played an amazing song from Bashy, How Black Boys lost Their smile. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtvr1tBVUZE

I believe that this smile was lost when they started to believe that being black meant nothing, when they, our sons, believed that being black is a curse!

We know that experiences of Black hate and a lack of cultural self-esteem continue to impact our community. These issues create disconnection from our roots and diminish the pride that should be inherent in our identity.

That’s why I urge parents and caregivers to ensure that your young masters come into MAG next week with a mental list of reasons why they are proud to be who they are—a young Black prince. Let’s explore the stories of influential Black figures, celebrate the beauty of our diverse cultures, and emphasise the importance of unity within our community.

Encourage them to reflect on their experiences, recognise their achievements, and envision how they can contribute positively to our legacy. By actively participating in these discussions, we can empower our young boys to embrace their identity with pride and appreciate the depth of their heritage. If you experience challenges due to trauma etc, please let us know!

We will be revisiting this every week ensuring that these conversations are ongoing and impactful. Together, we can change the narrative and celebrate the brilliance and potential of our young Black boys.

Sales Representative - Educational Workshops (Voluntary)

Role Title - Sales Representative - Educational Workshops
Location - Remote
Commitment - Voluntary (with incentive opportunities)

Role Overview
As a Sales Representative for our educational workshops, you will play a crucial role in our mission to bring our award-winning programmes into schools. This is a voluntary and remote role, ideal for individuals passionate about youth development and education. Your main objective will be to secure partnerships with schools, ensuring that our trauma-informed, inclusive, and impactful workshops reach the students who need them most.

Key Responsibilities

School Outreach - Proactively engage with schools and educational institutions to introduce our workshops, emphasising the importance of teaching young people about manhood, values, self-control, and gender respect.

Programme Promotion - Showcase the unique value of our award-winning programmess, which address critical topics such as manhood, consent, mutual respect between genders, and personal development.

Relationship Building - Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with school administrators, educators, and decision-makers to secure workshop placements.

Tailored Solutions - Identify the specific needs of each school and offer customised workshop solutions that align with their educational objectives and student requirements.

Impact Advocacy - Highlight the long-term benefits of our programmes, demonstrating how they equip students with essential life skills that are often overlooked in traditional education.

By bringing our trauma-informed and inclusive workshops into schools, you will help bridge this gap, empowering students with the tools they need to navigate life's challenges and fostering a culture of mutual respect and understanding.

Compensation
While this is a voluntary role, we offer a performance-based incentive—if you secure a contract, you will receive a percentage as a reward. We are committed to transforming this role into a part-time position in the future, and are currently seeking individuals who believe in our approach and want to contribute to this important cause.
