UNDERSTANDING THE MIND.

Inspite of the outstanding medical breakthroughs and academic per excellence perceived in our world today by doctors, academicians, historians and philosophers, we are yet to come up with the best explanation of the human mind.

That is because the MIND is an intangible spiritual entity, performing at its best only by the shedding of the Light of God's words. Heb 4:12.

Now the question is, what is the mind??

The MIND is the faculty of man's reasoning and thoughts. It holds the power of imagination, recognition and appreciation. It is also responsible for processing your feelings and emotions resulting in attitudes and actions.

There are some key words in this definition which includes thoughts.

THOUGHT is said to be the creation, recalling, reviewing and processing of images for meaning, reason, language and expression.

That means in your mind, you can process and give meaning to the Images that you see with your eyes.

Other synonyms of the word mind which are used interchangeably in both New and Old Testament includes Thoughts, Reasoning, Imagination, and Inclination.

Also words like the heart, soul and mind are used interchangeably in the scripture to express the activities and the phenomenal nature of the human mind. The mind and its components cannot be diagnosed with the human understanding except with scriptural backings.

Now, the human person comprises of the inward man and the outward man. 2Cor 4:16

The outward man is the physical body of a man with its FIVE senses; sight, hearing, touch, taste and smell. These helps him to connect to his physical environment or world.

However, the inward man is the human spirit/soul which is partitioned thus; mind, will, emotion, reasoning and Intellect.

The Bible describes the inward man as the hidden man of the Heart , or the man within the man.

The inward man or the human spirit is the one that was born again when you received Christ salvation, not the outward man.

But the BRIGDE between the inward man and the outward man is the your mind, which makes it a very powerful tool in the hands of either God or the devil, depending on whom you are yielded to.

Sometimes, understanding spiritual things can be difficult but physical happenings can give you a clue, because the Spiritual controls the Physical. Heb 11:3.

Which one are going to yield to?

NIGERIA AND UK IS NOT THE SAME😕😒

POV: United Kingdom.🇬🇧🇳🇬

I hear that a lot here and wonder what that even means. Is it that people changed location or location changed people?🤔

Or people allowed location to change them or location couldn't allow people change it? 😩

So I really don't understand it at all. When you asked some questions about some things, especially in CHURCH, you hear things like, HERE IS UK, NOT NIGERIA.

And it gives vibes like maybe God needs some adjusting to do so as to accommodate our new location since things are done "differently" here.

I am confused as to what exactly is going on???

Well, my question is...

Is service to God locational?

Should your life as a child of God need some kind of adjustments to serve Him better in the UK?

IS GOD NOW AN INDIGENOUS GOD?

Is our service to God rendered differently or needs diluting depending on our different locations?

I'LL NOT CHANGE MY FATHER'S NAME EVEN AFTER MARRIAGE.

You don't have anything to your name, neither does your father, otherwise we all would hear of him.

No landmark was made or has been made either professionally, materially, spiritually, physically, and otherwise.

Even your father's name is more of a padlock than an open door, and you know what, sometimes he, your father even knows!

Little wonders he'll raise a daughter who don't understand the indices of marriage.

Otherwise he should be the one to sit you down and teach you how these things are done properly, to avoid constituting unnecessary nuisance.

The worst kind of combination in this life is poor and pompous/proud. Very entitled!

And ladies with this mindset is usually found in this category.

THE POOR AND PROUD.

Some secured men don't even push it so hard if they realise that the woman they are marrying has successfully carved a niche for herself in her chosen profession or endeavour, which could be more of an open door and make even his own life easier.

They will insist that their women retain their father's name by the hyphen(-) before their name.

These kind are usually properly brought up in a wealthier environment, and taught humility by the reason of their training.

THE WEALTHY AND PRIME.

They know their place and make their homes an heaven on earth. Down to earth and ready to serve.

No child from a wealthy home whose parents means of wealth is unquestionable behaves ill-mannerly.

It is good to always start right when embarking on some journeys in life so as to get a desired result.

When you love your father's name that much, then don't get married to that man.

Because bearing your husband's name after marriage is you, giving him the honour that is due him, unless on a mutual agreement not to completely change it.

Your father should be able to tell you that.

NO BABY STEPS. NO ADULT MOVES.

Oh!!! The joy of watching your little one take his/her first step is out of this world!!!

You don't want to miss it for anything.

But it's not about babies today. Let's talk.

Adult to adult.

You see, I doubt that this life demands giant leaps from you, however it is only asking for conscious and consistent baby steps.

Think about it.

Nobody was born running.

We all started with shaky little attempts, clinging onto furniture, stumbling more times than you can count.

Yet, those wobbly steps were not failures, they were the training ground for your strength.

This same rule applies to your dreams, your career, your aspirations, your healing, your growth.

You don’t and can't build success overnight. It come in stages, and it comes in one small consistent action at a time.

So you want to launch a book? Write the first page, even if it’s rough.

Save the first 10k, even if it feels insignificant.

Practice for five minutes, even if it seems too little.

Remember this: No baby step is a waste because because each step is a deposit into your future.

Perfection is a mirage you don't want to dwell in. The truth is, those who wait for the “perfect leap” often stay stuck.

But those who dare to take small, steady steps discover that momentum builds, balance improves, and confidence grows!

Because of the nature my of job, dropping the utility belt at the end of the day was like a sweet smelling savour to me.

I literarily look forward to it and so does my other colleagues. Everyone running off like you won't return the next day, if not earlier than the previous day even. 😂

My colleagues' faces will so lighten up that it's highly infectious. Even if you don't know them, you'll be so happy with them, and at the sight of them.

Even when you don't know the reason.😁

Then you come in the morning wearing a fake smile behind the gloomy face just for your clients and the payday, when you can do better. ☺️

What I mean is, that job pays your bills and handles some other things, why not make it worthwhile.

You see, your mood affects the way you work and your output. It can also affect your personality or improve it.

Your mood in whatever you do, but in this context is that which puts food on your table and pays the bills, has the capacity to affect even your relationship with either family, colleagues or friends.

Your mood can determine both your output and imput in your workplace or your business.

It's not a bad thing to be happy at the end of the working day, but also apply the happiness on your start of the day. That way your countenance will not be oozing "depression everywhere you go" 😂

Before you get married to a lady, it is important that you go through her social media platforms in order to scrutinise her posts, comments, the people and groups she follows.

This is a simple way of knowing her mindset and understanding about life and marriage. Even employers now browse through social media platforms before employing their staff, how much more something as sensitive as marriage.

Otherwise whatever package you get, you better manage it.

Yesterday at work, I was bored because I was placed in a department whose environment and regime is a bit unfamiliar, but I still have to make my own imput.

Whatever they said about making Lemonade out of limes and Building with bricks thrown your way.

So a client needed attention with the healthcare department and I quickly swung to action to snap out of my boredom, sort for a personnel in that department to attend to him immediately.

Client attended to. Happy client. Back to boredom.

Apparently I realised that the medical staff wanted a chat, which is an obvious display of second degree boredom. Making us two. 🙄
And so she began...

"I couldn't sleep last night because my stomach aches badly. I hadn't slept from 2am till now. Although I went to hospital when I returned because of this same stomach ache, still it persists.

So I went to Nigeria without informing any family or relatives. Lodged myself in a 5star hotel in Abuja, and made an order for the first meal, second meal then the third all in less than 2 hours!

Went down to spa and from there, entered the hotel restaurant. Ordered for a good Chinese meal with a bottle of wine and then head to the pool side.

After spanning time by the pool side, I took myself to the room and changed. Meanwhile I got myself a private chauffeur who is always on standby."

"It is my money" she said😂

And honestly I totally agree with her on that.

Moving on.

"I've heard of this place in Abuja so I thought why not visit them now. The Village Chef in Abuja. When you get there, you'll make your order and they will start preparing it for you. Every ingredient still fresh!"

"Do you mean it? That you'll have to wait?", I asked.

She said "Yes. I ordered for vegetable soup, and it was served with four big snails, cowleg and other reasonable proteins in the soup. It was quite massive and I couldn't even finish it."

"Did you leave it for them or..."

"Noo! They packed the remains in a takeaway for me"

I was really impressed and promised myself to visit there whenever I enter Nigeria.

THIS THING CALLED DIVORCE... 😔😩😒

I watched a video of a man who was confessing that he regrets the fact that he divorced his wife and got remarried to an "angel". A good woman in all ramifications.

Well what was his regret exactly?

His first marriage gave him four beautiful children. However the first is divorced, the second is also divorced, followed by the third. And the fourth one is currently in court, on a divorce proceeding!

And he said wished he had made a different decision about his marriage, then maybe his children would have also turned out better than they did.

Let's talk about parenting.

This assignment called Parenting is highly demanding that it takes the heart of Love and intense care to walk through it. Because in Parenting, you must not break one rule and that is, YOU MUST NOT BE SELFISH.

When you are not ready to model the kind of life you will be proud to see in your children tomorrow, I will strongly advise that you don't even bother venturing into this divine assignment.

Parenting has its effects on your children, however way you do it. Both sociological, psychological, mental, emotional, physical, generational and spiritual effect.

But we will take one at a time because it is quite enormous. However the benchmark unequivocally remains that YOU MUST NOT BE SELFISH.

Think hard and deep before you exit that marriage.

LACK OF KNOWLEDGE EQUALS COMPLEXITY.

Complexity and ignorance are intertwined in various ways.

Ignorance, or a lack of knowledge, can both obscure and contribute to the perception of complexity.

In some cases, simplifying a complex situation can be a sign of wisdom, but in others, it can be a dangerous form of ignorance.

The interplay between complexity and ignorance is relevant in decision-making, understanding social phenomena, and even in personal self-awareness.

Now when we lack knowledge about a subject, it can appear more complicated than it actually is.

For example, someone with little or no knowledge of fine and applied Arts might perceive it as an incredibly complex field, while an artist might find it conceptually elegant and relatively straightforward.

Similarly, ignorance about an aspect of life, say spirituality can make interpersonal interactions seem more complex than they are.

Again, in the face of overwhelming complexity, that is what they don't know or understand, people may resort to simplification or even outright denial, which can also be a form of ignorance.

For instance, one might oversimplify complex social issues to make them more generally acceptable, even if this leads to inaccurate conclusions. These ones are possibly seeking for cheap popularity at whatever expense.

However some set of persons actively choose to remain ignorant about certain things, either to avoid discomfort or to maintain a desired worldview.

This can involve ignoring inconvenient facts or dismissing alternative perspectives and is capable of keeping one in the circle of seemingly intelligent fvvls.

Solution???

Love knowledge. Ask questions. Change your circle. Read books. Grow intentionally. Embrace change. Learn, relearn and unlearn.
