Very pleased to announce the second artist who will be joining us at our next Swivel party on Saturday… the deep digging prog/tech inspired wax aficionado, .or__ 🕯️

After many years of weaving the same paths, supporting each others respective parties and a number of, sadly undocumented, late night impromptu mixing sessions, we are incredibly excited to have Timor grace the decks with his seasoned ear 👂

Timor is a life long vinyl enthusiast with a penchant for progressive deep rollers and floor-focussed tech. Always bringing an ear-to-ear grin to every party, he will be accompanying for an extended b2b session - very excited to hear what directions they take us :)

I unearthed this record whilst combing my collection for the recent mix and quite honestly felt like I was listening to it for the first time!

3-floor focussed tracks with a curiously titled A-side ‘Summer of Love’ that has a haunting string section over a persistent driving bassline, early morning Floresta energy. I ended up putting the B2, ‘Sapna Voice’ into the mix which has more of a 90’s tech house feel to it but still with signature percussive elements from the noughties French DJ and producer.

A lot of subtleties hidden between the grooves on this one, happy to be sharing the B side for an online debut, coming to the YouTube channel later this week… :)

We first met Olive at our label launch party on the Goose back in November 2023. It was immediately clear that she shared a deep-rooted love for dance music and the communities of people that come together to celebrate it. We’re e###xtremely excited to welcome her infectious positive energy back, but this time to spin some tunes for an extended b2b with another close friend .or__ .

We’ve known these two for a while and though we don’t cross paths as often as we’d like, they’re those kind of friends you stumble upon on familiar dancefloors, and always wish you saw more of!

After having the pleasure of hearing them mix together many times, it seems only too right to see them joining forces for this exciting new label. So, fasten your seatbelts for an hour of absolute thumpers.

For the second instalment of our Selects series we’ll be showcasing our good friend new reissue recordlabel .recordss . This eclectic EP is kicked off with ‘Afghan Receptor No.9’, a progressive A side track featuring an array of countering melodic synths and a bassline crafted to move any room. The contemplative downtempo B side transports you inwards from the dance floor with a creative use of sampling and dreamy synths. This is a beautiful and diverse EP, well worth a spot in any digger’s collection.
