In 1990, Master Michael Tse founded the Tse Qigong Centre and Qi Magazine in England as a way of helping people to gain better health using the traditional Chinese skills he had learned and from which he had found so much benefit. Today, the Tse Qigong Centre offers five core skills including Dayan (Wild Goose) Qigong, Wing Chun Kung Fu, Chun Yuen Quan, Chen Taijiquan and Hard Qigong. He began his
Wing Chun studies with his uncle, a traditional bone setter, at the age of fourteen. His uncle was a student of the legendary Ip Man. When his uncle passed away, he carried on to further his studies with Grandmaster Ip Chun (son of Ip Man). He had also been introduced to Chen Taijiquan and had commenced his studies with Fong Sifu and then later with Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang. Through his practise of Wing Chun, Chen Taijiquan and in assisting his uncle with herb preparations, he realised that Qigong was the essence of both Chinese medicine and martial arts. Thus, he began his Qigong journey, first learning Hard Qigong and then soft Qigong. His soft Qigong Sifu was Grandmaster Yang Meijun, renowned for her family’s 1,800 year old Wild Goose Qigong skill. He would travel to China whenever possible to study with Grandmaster Yang, learning the Dayan Qigong skill. It was on one of these visits, that he met his Northern Shaolin Sifu, Grandmaster Wu Chun Yuen, and began studying his amazing skill. Every year thereafter, he would return to visit and learn from them both, reaching a very high level. Master Tse now resides in England and holds weekly classes in London as well teaching seminars around the world. Details of these can be found on:- www.tseqigongcentre.com
