REFUTAL STATEMENT:
PROFESSOR PHILIP JOHN KANU IS LOVED FOR HIS GOOD WORK. STOP THE HATE!

The zealous human agriculturist, Professor Philip John Kanu is an upright administrator at the Milton Margai Technical University, Freetown, Western Area who is widely known and appreciated for his firmness and strong resistant to dubious and corrupt practices in all sphere of life. The revered Professor is NOT a wicked man as purported by some unscrupulous people. The misleading information making rounds on social media has a wide lens of some corrupt staff members who are engaged in wide range of malpractices within the University ranging from: changing grades for s*x and money, refusing to lecture the students, going to the campus when and how they feel, having problems in delivering their lectures are bent on saying all bad and misleading things about Philip Kanu and his reputable family.
The sad reality is that, in all the baseless and unfounded allegations taken to the Anti Corruption Commission for him to be investigated, he has not been found wanting for all the malicious claims they have tabled to the ACC and other institutions. Philip John Kanu's crime is to transform the once neglected institution in the country to be a technical university, and it is now a thriving institution today. Now go to MMTU to see for yourself, and then you can make your own judgment. It is obvious that you people have been after Professor Kanu and his family for all these years going after his life and that of his family, for frowning and exposing those bad lecturers who were harassing female students.
Philip Kanu has been investigated several times by ACC by the Ministry of Technical and Higher Education several times by the MMTU Court, but nothing has not been found against him. The reports are available at the ACC, to say Philip John Kanu has been speared by the ACC is erroneous as Philip Kanu has been reported to ACC and other institutions and all those institutions have conducted independent investigations but could not see anything against him that he should be vilified by wicked people who did not want to see the right things happen in our institutions and society.
Now for his innocent wife. In setting the records straight, Mrs. Kanu was never a project director or a manager neither working under any project in NaCSA. She was the Human Resource Manager for NaCSA, which was paid by funds from the Government of Sierra Leone.
The solar writer is purporting to be under a project which Mrs. Kanu has no business with. The solar writer is referring to was never a case under ACC. The matter was reported to the CID during the time of RPG Roberts as Head of CID. Mrs. Kanu was never a suspect in that case but as the Human Resource Manager she was interviewed to provide information to the CID on who is responsible to keep the keys of the stores where the solar panels were kept. According to the people manning the store and supplying the equipment to the contractor responsible to do the installation of the solar in various communities.
Let the writer go to the CID to get the facts properly or even ask the former NaCSA Commissioner (Hannah Max-Kaine), who reported the issue of the solar to the CID. All those who were suspects were duly investigated. The panels and batteries were in CID, and none of all the staff invited to investigate the matter, never mentioned Mrs. Kanu in the matter. For the writer not to know that the solar case was reported at the CID shows that the writer did not cross-check his facts, yet he enjoys in misinforming the public.
On the other hand, talking about the astute Commissioner of ACC is under instruction given to him by the First Lady, Madam Fatima Maada Jabbie Bio not to investigate Philip John Kanu is totally illogical and a calculated attempt to misinform the public. It will not be good to bring the name of the First Lady in this matter of which the writer is trying to tarnish the names of people that have contributed immensely to society.
The First Lady has never given instructions to anyone not to investigate Philip John Kanu. For your information, Philip John Kanu has been one the highest investigated officials, but he has not been found culpable in all the malicious allegations made by a few lecturers. It is clear that they are doing all this fighting because Philip Kanu did not support them to do the wrong things. The other reason, they see Philip John Kanu as strange, not from the same region those lecturers are coming from. But the truth is Philip has and still making Milton Margai an enviable institution in the country by supporting the process of the transformation from a Polytechnic to a Technical University will not fit well with those few lecturers who are bent on taking advantage of female students, selling grades/pamphlets and even not qualified to be lecturers of a university to say the least.
Thus, it is so demeaning to say a lecturer in an educational institution is a thug when the very lecturer is qualified to work in the institution. If those few lecturers have a case with evidence(s), why can't them use the appropriate channels to seek redress within the institution?
However, the writer and those behind the write-up did not even know that Dr. Gaima was never kicked but rather given another better job in his His Excellency's government. Let the writer get the appointment of Dr. Gaima, then the person will know that, Dr. Gaima was never kicked. He did not need to block any complaint because there are laid down processes and procedures to complain to the Vice Chancellor and Principal of any institution. This is not a secret anymore that people are after the lives of the Kanu family. For your sake Mrs. Kanu should not travel anywhere? Well, the harm you and your team are planning God will never allow you to succeed. For the writer to accuse a credible newspaper that reported the attempts made on the lives of the family members of Philip Kanu shows that the person is one of those threatening to cause havoc to Prof. Kanu’s family. The information of threat on the lives of Prof. Kanu’s family was reported by several newspapers in the country. If you think you could be allowed to continue to suppress the lives of the Kanu family, this time, you will be exposed. For your sake, the Kanu family must not live a peaceful life? God will not allow you to harm Prof. Kanu’s family.
Prof. Kanu has not done anything to any staff to be attacked wrongfully by a few he bad eggs at the University.
Notwithstanding, the entire write-up is baseless, it lacks merit and people must not countenance it.
