The Rolling Stones have released a video for their previously unreleased track titled Criss Cross.
The song - that was originally recorded in 1973 for their Goats Head Soup album – is the first teaser for a deluxe edition of the album which is due for release on 4 September.
It is one of three unheard tracks featured on Goats Head Soup 2020, sitting alongside an all-new stereo mix of the original 973 album, plus demos, outtakes, live performances & more.
It is gathered together on a deluxe 4CD and/or 4LP boxset.
That's a lot of Stones for your money and it will be interesting to see how it pans out as Goat's Head Soup - while a great album - is not the Stones at their ultimate best.
As it is Criss Cross is typical Stones and that is enough for me.
Oh, and the video directed by Diane Kunst is great as well. I have no idea what a beautiful girl (Guindilla Ontanaya) in various locations and various states of undress has to do with the song but I suppose when you're The Rolling Stones you can do what you want!
