Great media interviews don’t happen by accident. 🎙️
They’re the result of preparation, message discipline, and knowing how to tackle tough questions without losing the story.
In one half day session, Higginson Strategy equipped the team at RingGo with practical tools to own their narrative.
Leading the session were Higginson Strategy’s partners Clodagh and John Higginson – seasoned journalists who know all about the pressure of live media. Clodagh, formerly ITV Good Morning Britain’s Political Correspondent, anchored live political broadcasts from Westminster daily while John spent twenty years in journalism interviewing Prime Ministers and world leaders and regularly appeared as a political pundit on major news channels.
The training was facilitated by Westminster Public Affairs with messaging guidance from Olly Kendall. ✨
Here’s what Chris Head, Regional Director UK & Ireland at Arrive and RingGo, said after the session: “The media training has provided us with a framework and methodology that we can use in all scenarios from crisis communications, radio interviews, down the lines or TV sofa interviews. John and Clodagh are incredibly professional, really well prepared, making the training extremely relevant and smooth. I would highly recommend anyone who might face the media to take their half day media training.”
Sarah Hubbard, Head of Business Development (UK & Ireland), Arrive, said: “It’s been great. Slightly nerve-wracking at first but the team were fantastic at guiding me through and giving valuable feedback along the way. The training provided a useful framework and toolkit to prepare for any future media appearances. Some of the tools - such as the bridging technique - are transferable to other forms of communications too, so I feel well prepared to bring what I have learnt into my day-to-day. I’m excited to put what I have learnt into practice!”
Thank you Sarah Hubbard, Christopher Head at RingGo and Westminster Public Affairs. We had a blast and glad you found it useful.
