You can care about someone and still get tired of being drained, let down, and treated like your presence will always be available. There is a limit to how many times a person can disappoint you before you stop opening the door.

A big heart can make you stay patient with people who keep giving you reasons to leave.

You keep understanding them, forgiving things you would never do to someone else, and hoping the good in them will finally show up.

The sad part is that being a loving person does not always make people treat you better. Sometimes, it only teaches the wrong person how much you are willing to tolerate.
