Burnham wants to save thirty million quid by scrapping military training. Thirty million. And this is the same Burnham who says Russia is knocking at our door.

Last year we spent four billion quid just processing the boats. Four billion, yet thirty million to train our own troops is apparently too much.

Then along comes Wes Streeting, new defence boss after health did not go so well, telling us not to sow division. Translation from Westminster waffle, do as I say and I will look generous.

Meanwhile we are wiring a hundred and thirty five million to Pakistan and funding farmers abroad while ours are on their knees. I call it Passport Philanthropy, generous to everyone except your own.

Is the government actually pencilling in conflicts, warning the lads they will have to fight them, then telling the same lads to skip training?

Until recently Streeting and Burnham knew sod all about running defence, did they? We should be paying our military, not pausing them.

John Healey is playing games and it is our pockets paying for it.

He jacked in Defence saying we need three percent of GDP to keep Britain safe, then it slips out that Burnham had already promised him Number 11.

All part of that little coup that actually worked. Now word is the Chagos handover, thirty four to fifty two billion quid, is coming straight out of the defence budget. And the whole defence budget is only about sixty billion.

That pot is pathetically small as it is, yet he wants to use it as an excuse to hike taxes even more when they are already at a seventy year high.

Proper economists, even ones I do not always agree with, are shouting that you do not grow by taxing everything that moves. Capital gains receipts down, corporation tax up, jobs tax up on business, and what happens? Firms leave, millionaires leave, houses sit empty.

Two career politicians in Number 10 and Number 11 with no real business experience between them, treating the economy like a magic money tree. You keep squeezing it and the money just vanishes. That is not a strategy, it is just waffle with a fancy lanyard.

Khan got slammed on the world stage and I loved every second of it.

Notting Hill has just posted record numbers for arrests, blades, drugs and attacks on emergency crews, yet City Hall acts like nothing happened.

Funny that. Same mayor had plenty to say about six arrests at the UK march last year. The Met puts the figures out and he dismisses it as a myth. It is PR policing, innit. If it fits the narrative he shouts about it, if it does not he mutes it.

Then Trump pops up in an interview and says what half of London whispers on the night bus. London feels like a different city to twenty years ago. Crime through the roof and areas where police will not even go.

Khan's stock reply, oh it is because I am brown, Muslim, blah blah blah. But Trump battered the Paris mayor in the same breath. So it is not about that. It is about the job, mate.

It comes down to whether you can walk down your own high street without clutching your phone like a life raft.

Shoplifting is up, robbery is up, sexual assault is up, stabbings are up, fewer people dying only because of the medics, not City Hall. They can sugarcoat it all they like, Londoners know what they are seeing. That is why that clip is flying.

If you want to know why coppers are jacking it in, look at this mess.

It took a million signatures on a petition to stop PC Harper's killers getting out early.

The head of the Thames Valley Fed said officers feel properly mugged off that it was even considered. Burnham only backed down because of the public outcry, not because his conscience told him it was wrong.

We are talking about an assault on police every ten minutes. Thirty nine thousand in the year to last April. What they are asking for is dead simple. Proper funding, proper backup and a justice system that actually keeps villains banged up.

And what do we get from Downing Street? We understand your distress. Not even a sorry. And they still might row back later and let them out early anyway.

They have said no for now, but who says they will not go back on it? Once it all quietens down they will try and do it on the sly. I have seen this film before.

Madrid was packed at the weekend. Fifty thousand locals crammed in, all shouting about what is happening in Ceuta. Since Pedro Sanchez's left wing lot let it get to this point, the Spanish public felt they had to sort it themselves.

Thousands are still there after that massive wave of crossings from Morocco. Women are being attacked and kids left to fend for themselves. History repeating itself in Spain, Germany, France and here. People are out on the streets because they feel no one at the top is actually guarding the front door.

Then you have got Burnham on TikTok doing his own version of PMQs, cherry picking the easy stuff like trains and waiting lists while dodging what really matters.

Meanwhile we have racked up three trillion in debt and spend over a hundred billion a year just on interest. Hotels and barges are full, we are paying a billion quid to French patrols, council lists are through the roof and A&E queues are round the block.

You cannot run a country when citizens have to protect themselves. If that is how it is, what do we need a government for?

We fund the police, the borders, the NHS and housing to do that job. When those basics start to crumble and leaders talk like our savings are just sitting there doing nothing, trust collapses.

That is why Madrid kicked off and that is why it will kick off here too.

This week's figures for Oldham have Reform battering Labour in the polls.

Rotherham's showing the same trend. And what really stings for Andy Burnham is not just that Reform's surging, it's where those votes are coming from. Former Labour voters. The exact lot he was supposed to win back.

His whole strategy rested on the idea that he could win the North because he is a northerner.

The logic was, hold Manchester while the party falls apart nationally, then claim his Labour is different.

Problem is, voters are starting to hear the same cautious, focus-grouped London speak, just with a northern accent on top.

Asked last month about an inquiry into grooming gangs, he wanted more information before making a decision, while Reform said crack on and do it now. There is a 200 page report on it, what more does he need to act?

You cannot sell yourself as the fix for winning back the heartlands when it is the heartlands themselves legging it over to Reform. If Oldham was the warning light, Rotherham is the engine light flashing right after it.

Labour voters aren't happy with Andy Burnham, so Just Stop Oil hatched a GENIUS plan to corner the Prime Minister. Stand on the wrong pavement.

Seriously, late summer, a load of Labour voters rock up outside Westminster thinking they can trap Burnham by plonking themselves in the middle of the road. Love, that building's got more back doors than a pub in South London. He was long gone by the time they'd even got the banners out.

And who picks up the tab for this carry on? Not Whitehall. It's the mum trying to get to work, the lad trying to get to a gig, the family trying to make their flight. There's a reason stunts like that fall flat outside London. Up north, people haven't got the patience for it. They'll tell you straight and tell you to sling your hook.

Looks cute on Instagram, does sod all in the real world. If you want change, do something that actually changes something. Blocking the pavement while the bloke you're after is already halfway down Whitehall is just shouting into the wind.

Here we go again, another half-baked scheme from Louise Haigh, a convicted fraudster.

The same woman who spunked £3 million of taxpayers' money sending alerts telling people not to have barbecues is now set to funnel millions more into what's being called Number 10 of the North.

What they're doing is pouring more money in to give even more power to Labour-run councils. And with absolute brass neck, she waltzes into the Commons and pretty much says it outright, hoping no one clocks this rotten ploy from a convicted fraudster.

We've seen this film before in Scotland and Wales. Spend big, blame London, then ask London for more money.

Now we're heading for a proper postcode lottery.

Poorer regions will have less in the pot to share, wealthier areas will get rinsed even more, and anyone with a bit put by will feel the squeeze. If Westminster's handing all the jobs off, why are we still paying for Westminster?

Did you see this? Diane Abbott, Labour MP, claimed the Russian threat was made up by NATO. Her words, not mine.

The Prime Minister has argued the British people need to be prepared for a conflict with Russia, yet now a Labour MP comes out publicly saying the threat never existed and was cooked up by NATO.

And then, to smooth things over a bit with her own lot, she goes on to say the threat is also a complete sham designed to justify Trump's demands for more military spending.

Love, our armed forces are being chucked aside by this government. SAS veterans are being dragged into court simply for having done their job in Northern Ireland.

And now there are reports of mass desertion, just as the government says it might recall veterans to active duty. Because no young person wants to join the armed forces only to be treated like a third class citizen by a government that couldn't care less about the military.

Burnham's been in a job nobody voted her into for five minutes and she's already coming for our veterans.

A day in and the backlash has started. Labour's new Troubles Bill is getting slammed for what it'll do to military recruitment and morale, by dragging former soldiers into fresh prosecutions and civil claims decades after they served in Northern Ireland.

Retired RAF Air Marshal Ed Stringer says young people will ask if it's worth joining up if today's patrol becomes tomorrow's court case. Because that's what Burnham's government is doing, hauling veterans who did their job into court.

Former Army Chief Lord Dannatt went even further and called the legislation a huge mistake that could affect 300,000 veterans who served during the Troubles.

Former SAS Brigadier Ed Butler warned that repeated legal action is already damaging special forces recruitment and trust in the government. Critics also point out the double standard, the paramilitaries kept barely any records and destroyed evidence, while the British military documented everything.

Burnham says it's about answers for grieving families, but plenty are asking why the men sent to do a difficult job are the ones in the firing line.

If it was politicians who sent them, put the politicians on trial. You can't send lads to do the hardest job in the world and then drag them through the courts 30 years later and expect kids to still want to sign up.
