速度與激情是基本，更是汽車文化的體現(Goodwood Festival of Speed)

英國對於維護汽車文化與傳承, 絕對是數一數二的, 在英國你可以看到大量經典車的保留, 甚至你的鄰居就是開著一輛古董車日常代步用。 除了一般大眾是如此, 各個賽事活動與慶典也是, 古德伍德賽車嘉年華不僅可以看到經典古董車, 也會集結最新科技的新車, 所以更像是個嘉年華的概念。也可以這樣說, 每當到了古德伍德賽車節, 全世界所有酷的車子都會集中這裡, 沒有例外。

古德伍德 Goodwood其實是一個莊園, 上百年前由Duke of Richmond所擁有。由於當時的政府拒絕他的賽車提案, 於是他做了一個大膽的決定, 反正他家空地也不小, 乾脆在自家私人土地舉辦上坡比賽, 此外後代子孫再加上更多娛樂活動, 於是變成了今天的古德伍德賽車嘉年華。

古德伍德賽車嘉年華, 也可以看作是汽車界的萬國博覽會, 所有汽車製造商是這場嘉年華為最棒的新車發表會, 不僅是因為英國豐富的汽車文化底蘊, 更棒的是有來自全球成千上萬的車迷共襄盛舉。在這四天的嘉年華裡, 汽車製造商使盡渾身解術, 提供乘坐體驗, 或是蓋起一座獨立展覽館, 向車迷分享他們造車的理念, 還有未來的規劃藍圖。對於車廠來說, 這場古德伍德賽車嘉年華, 是一個重要的行銷公關的機會。

今年2023裡面, 有許多車展在這裡舉行新車全球發表, 例如法拉利的KC23, 藍寶堅年明年的利曼賽車SC63, 來自日本新公司AIM電動車, 藍寶堅尼越野車等。還有各式大神車, 包含我的最愛Zonda Lanzante R, 或是Bugatti Bolide, Hyundai N-Vision GT, Pagani Utopia, McLaren Solus GT, Porsche 911 Singer DLS Turbo Project, Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR

除了汽車製造商, 也有改裝廠, 車商, 汽車俱樂部等的設點。在上坡賽休息之際, 你可以去這些攤位走走, 或是加價升級套票, 去Pavillion享用一頓美好的餐點, 並在最棒的彎道位置看著汽車呼嘯而過。今年最大的贊助商之一, 手錶品牌Roger Dubuis, 如同所有的汽車製造商, 也會邀請他們最重要的賓客, 在他們私人的會館, 安靜地享用香檳, 與其他同樣受邀的賓客相互交流, 看著賽車享受既愜意又熱情奔放的一天。

今年我最大的收穫, 就是與來自日本的新創電動跑車AIM的director Yoshihiko先生的交流, 他非常熱情的帶我介紹他們公司是如何堅持25年, 並把他們的第一款跑車EV Sport 01帶到英國做全球發表, 並在上坡賽中表現突出, 讓各國汽車媒體紛紛表示驚豔萬分。

如同上述, 古德伍德賽車嘉年華, 最棒的地方不僅是近身接觸那些超跑神獸, 而是與汽車界裡很酷的人交流, 聽著他們造車的理念, 哪些有趣的故事, 品牌的精神與價值, 還有他們未來想達成的目標。我想, 75年前Duke of Richmond可能不知道這場賽車節兼汽車嘉年華, 在後世會是如何影響著全球車迷。所謂的, 以車會友, 人與人之間透過車的交流, 其實是這場古德伍德賽車嘉年華, 最棒的價值。

“Keep on Driving” is how I feel after attending the Goodwood, not just because the vibe was incredible, and sometimes you were feeling privileged and blessed to be able to immerse yourself in the car world and actually enjoy the driving. So yeah, keep on driving, drive your cars, and have your dreams driven.

is the world’s greatest celebration of motorsport and car culture. During the 4-day festival the highlight is the hill climb as well as new & rare cars making their global launch, also one off . Truly the best automotive festival in the solar system.
