So naturally he sat directly opposite me, got out a family size tub of yoghurt, and ate the whole thing with his bare hand while staring straight at me. No spoon. Not once did he blink.

I said nothing. I wasn't going to be the one to bring it up.

This week Jon and Dan get on board with the great British rail experience. The delays that somehow become your fault. Ticket prices that cost more than a flight abroad. The bloke who keeps his rucksack on in a packed carriage and takes out three people every time he turns round. Carriages so full you are basically holding someone else up. And the person who decided rush hour was the ideal moment to unwrap something hot and smelly.

Me: watching a documentary
Also me: waiting through the empty chair, the walk-in, the jacket straighten, AND the clapper board before they even start talking. Why on earth do they bother, it looks like the editor doesn't know what they're doing!

Anyone else noticed documentaries now leave the clapper board bit in?

Empty chair, someone sits down, straightens their jacket, then the clap and a jump cut, and they just... keep it in the final edit.

Dan works as a TV editor and says he'd never have let that through. So why is every documentary doing it now?
