We are pleased to welcome Richard Hall, CEO of Dana Gas, to the Middle East Gas Conference 2025, taking place on 10 December in Dubai.

Richard brings more than 30 years of operational and executive leadership across global upstream oil and gas. His early career included drilling and production roles with Amoco, Murphy and Hess, followed by co founding Acteon Group, which received both the Institute of Petroleum Platinum Award and the Queen’s Award for Export.

He later held senior positions with Petrofac and co founded Nio Petroleum, successfully acquiring Malaysian offshore assets before the company’s sale to EnQuest, where Richard went on to serve as Head of International Business and Head of Major Capital Projects. His leadership experience also includes serving as Chairman and CEO of a private equity backed services firm in Dubai and multiple senior roles in Malaysia before being appointed CEO of Dana Gas Group in 2023.

We are pleased to welcome Ahmed Al Janahi, Vice President Production at Bapco Upstream, to The Middle East Gas Conference 2025, taking place on 10 December in Dubai.

Ahmed oversees oil and gas production across the 90 year old Awali Field, managing wells, surface facilities and network operations while driving efficiency in lifting costs and maintenance. His career includes senior roles in field operations, reservoir simulation, reserves estimation, project management and production engineering at Tatweer Petroleum.

Before that, Ahmed worked with Mubadala Development Company and Mubadala Petroleum on growth strategy and financial evaluation for acquisitions, farm ins and joint ventures, and supported drilling and production activities in Qatar, Oman and Thailand. He holds a BSc in Petroleum Engineering from the United Arab Emirates University and an MSc in Engineering Management from George Washington University, as well as executive leadership training from Harvard Business School, London Business School and New York University.

Gido has more than 15 years of international experience across global energy finance and leads FAB’s work across oil and gas, utilities, renewables, new energies, and metals and mining, while supporting clients in their transition strategies. His previous roles include leading ING’s global energy debt advisory business and its work in new energy technologies including hydrogen and carbon capture.
