Before the algorithm took over social media, MySpace let users customise their profiles and discover new music. Now, owners Chris and Tim Vanderhook are planning a major relaunch to bring that experience back. The revamped platform aims to tackle algorithm fatigue by focusing on music discovery, creativity, and personalisation. While there’s no official launch date yet, the goal is to revive the user-driven feel that made MySpace a cultural phenomenon in the 2000s.

Danny Cahalane was 38, a father of two, and Β£120,000 in debt to a childhood friend turned crime boss. When he couldn’t pay, the threats escalated β€” and in February 2025, acid was thrown in his face at his own front door. He died ten weeks later. Now his ex-wife has been convicted of manslaughter for her role in setting him up. This is the story of the Plymouth acid attack case, drawn from UK court reporting.

οΏΌοΏΌTwo men have been jailed over the cyberattack that brought Transport for London to a standstill behind the scenes πŸš‡βš οΈ

The attack ran for three days at the end of August 2024, and gave hackers access to the personal data of around 7 million TfL customers β€” including, for a smaller group, bank account numbers and sort codes.

To stop the breach spreading, TfL made the drastic call to disconnect its own systems from the internet entirely. That decision triggered months of disruption to online services like refunds and Oyster card top-ups, even though trains and buses kept running as normal.

The final cost to TfL: Β£29 million.

Both men, aged 20 and 18, were linked to the hacking collective Scattered Spider. Sentencing them, the judge said their actions caused β€œvery serious” harm and were driven largely by β€œselfish bravado.”

It’s now considered one of the largest cyberattacks in British corporate history.
