After years of far-ranging research and careful thought, Nate Bulluck has produced this first volume of an epoch-making work on his nation's identity. Proud to be publishing it.

Alchemy, the process of dissolving and uniting elements, was a metaphor for the American Founders in their revolutionary quest for an ideal culture - they wanted to dissolve the political bands which oppressed them and form a more perfect union. On 20 April, 100 days into a new administration, we will publish 'Roots', volume I of THE ALCHEMY OF AMERICA by Nathaniel Bulluck. This work grew out of the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests following the murder of George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer. In that period, America’s conservative political leadership described flying the Confederate battle flag ‘freedom of speech’, declared that ‘We are in a culture war’ and told Republicans to ‘toughen up’ and reject a ‘left-wing cultural revolution’. Palpable anger permeating America’s divided society led this young author to go beyond his traditional schooling to seek the truth of his nation’s multicultural history. In alchemy, the transmutative art of perfecting elements via dissolution of divisive complexes, he struck on a metaphor that the American Founders had used in their quest for an ideal culture – a more perfect union. This first book in a projected series of three will weigh up and stir key pre-colonial elements into the melting pot that is the United States. Haudenosaunee democracy, Greek philosophy, Roman civilization, British jurisprudence, Christianity and Hermeticism are among them.
