On June 3rd 2017, three machete wielding terrorists drove a rented van into pedestrians on London Bridge before rampaging through nearby Borough Market - slashing, stabbing and murdering innocent people in nearby pubs and restaurants. Having kicked and battered their way through locked glass doors at the Black & Blue Restaurant, they came face to face with an unarmed man who refused to run away, allowing around thirty others in that venue to escape to safety. Instead of running, he faced up to them, now famously having declared "F**k You...I'm Millwall!". Here at the Hertford Club Literary Festival, Rick Mayston of Agent Fox Media Limited interviews that man about that fateful day. He's a modern day hero...he's ROY LARNER, THE LION OF LONDON BRIDGE!

The Hertford Club is thrilled to announce this exciting fundraising event!

The Hertford Club itself is almost 130 years old, but the building that it resides in - LOMBARD HOUSE - dates back to the 15th Century!

As one of the most historical buildings of Hertford, it is important that it is kept both renovated and restored, and this fundraiser is to help with that maintenance on behalf of all the residents of Hertford - not just the members of this highly prestigious club.
