Bored senseless during the international break, so let's have a debate... 🥱⚽️
Here are a couple of things I actually *love* about FPL that seem to absolutely boil everyone else's blood:
**1. Price Changes** 📈
I see so many people moaning that price rises and falls should only happen once a week, but they literally make the game! Without them, we’d all eventually afford the exact same players and end up with boring template teams. Building up your team value rewards good planning and gives you a massive edge later in the season. 💰
(Obviously, it can backfire! Last season I built up a massive £106m team value and brought Palmer in on my GW35 Wildcard because Forest were at home. Cue the missed pen and a fat 0 points! 🤦♂️ If I was skint, I’d have just gone with Saka like everyone else, who actually ended up hauling over the run-in.)
**2. 'Bald Fraud' Managers** 🧑🦲
Everyone complains about Pep roulette, Arteta, and Maresca keeping us completely in the dark with their line-ups. Honestly? I love the chaos. Not having all the info means you actually have to read between the lines, weigh up the risk, and take a punt. Sometimes you look like a tactical genius, sometimes you get completely punished. That gambling element is exactly what makes the game so addictive! 🎲🤯
