Man Fires Flare Gun, Strips to His Underwear, Somehow Resists Taser.
Police stopped to check on Jacob Caldwell as he walked down a highway. He fired a flare gun, ran off, then stripped to his underwear. An officer tried to tase Caldwell, but he cursed, threw money, and was seemingly unaffected by the taser. (7/11/25)

This was found inside a shipping container by the dutch police in 2020.

A news article from 2020.
Dutch police announced Tuesday that they arrested six men after discovering ''torture chambers'' and cells inside shipping containers being used as a makeshift prison.

The items found in the shipping containers included a dentist chair, handcuffs, and other tools such as hedge cutters, pliers and scalpels "likely intended to torture victims or at least put them under pressure".
They were located in a warehouse in Wouwse Plantage, a small village in the southwestern part of the Netherlands, close to the border with Belgium.

The police were tipped by messages and photos from EncroChat, which is an encrypted platform where users could speak privately between specially-designed handsets.

The platform, which was recently decoded by French police, is used by criminals to communicate.

The kidnappers were apparently quite meticulous planners, with several ''teams'' preparing to sn**ch up their victims and one ''observation team.''

They used to refer to the warehouse as ''treatment room'' and ''ebi'', a reference to the top Dutch police.

The authorities conducted the raid, codenamed 26Lemont, on June 22. In the investigation, they seized dozens of fi****ms, more than 8,000 kilograms of co***ne and 1,200 kilograms of crystal m**h, as well as the dismantled 19 synthetic drug labs.

🚨 Youth Crime & Youth Centre Closures in England 🚨

Over the past decade, more than two-thirds of youth centres across England have been shut down as funding for youth services has been slashed by over 70%. London alone lost nearly a third of its youth clubs between 2010 and 2019.

The impact has been devastating:

When youth clubs close, youth offending rises by around 14%.

Areas hit hardest by closures see more suspensions in schools and lower GCSE results.

For every £1 “saved” by cutting youth services, society loses nearly £3 in costs from increased crime, reduced life chances, and the strain on the justice system.

Youth clubs aren’t just somewhere to play football or pool – they keep young people safe, supported, and on the right path. Without them, kids are more vulnerable to crime, gangs, and violence.

This isn’t just about money. It’s about our communities, our safety, and our future. Cuts to youth services might look like a short-term saving, but they’re a long-term disaster.

👉 Do you think the government should reinvest in youth centres to tackle crime at its roots?

The Chilling Story of the “New York Zodiac”

In the early 1990s, New York City was haunted by a copycat killer who styled himself after the infamous Zodiac Killer of San Francisco. His name was Heriberto “Eddie” Seda, but he became known as the New York Zodiac—a man who left a trail of fear, coded messages, and blood in his wake.

🔮 Obsessed With the Stars

Seda was consumed by astrology and fascinated by the Zodiac Killer. He believed the stars and the Zodiac signs held power, and he channeled this obsession into his crimes. Victims were chosen based on their astrological signs, and he even sent cryptic messages written with maritime flag symbols, echoing the theatrical taunts of the original Zodiac.

Born under the sign of Leo, Seda craved the spotlight and control. His intense and secretive nature, paired with his precision in planning, gave his crimes an eerie cosmic pattern that seemed to tie murder to the movements of the heavens.

✨ When the Stars Aligned to Catch Him

For years, Seda eluded capture. But in June 1996, fate turned against him. After a violent dispute in his own home where he shot his half-sister, police surrounded the scene. A hostage negotiator was sent in to talk Seda down—unbelievably, that negotiator turned out to be the very same detective who had once led the task force to catch the Zodiac. The task force had long been disbanded, and this was his first ever assignment as a hostage negotiator.

It was almost poetic—the man who believed destiny was written in the stars was finally brought face-to-face with the detective who had once hunted him. That encounter, along with evidence later uncovered—fingerprints, handwriting, and DNA from one of his taunting letters—sealed his fate.

⚖️ Trial and Sentence

Seda’s trial in 1998 exposed the full scale of his crimes: at least three murders and six attempted murders between 1990 and 1993. After six weeks of testimony and overwhelming evidence, he was convicted and handed a staggering sentence of 232 years in prison. Today, he remains behind bars at Clinton Correctional Facility in New York, destined to spend the rest of his life locked away.

🌠 Legacy of Terror

The New York Zodiac was a copycat killer who borrowed theatrics from another infamous murderer, but his crimes still stand out as uniquely chilling. He used astrology as both a mask and a weapon, believing the cosmos guided his violence. In the end, though, it wasn’t the stars that sealed his fate—it was his own actions, and a twist of fate that brought him face-to-face with the very detective who had once pursued him.

On a chilly night in September 2016, 23-year-old RAF gunner Corrie McKeague was out enjoying drinks with friends in the Suffolk town of Bury St Edmunds. The evening was ordinary, filled with laughter and camaraderie, until the early hours of the morning when Corrie was last seen on CCTV. At around 3:25 a.m., cameras captured him walking alone into a narrow horseshoe-shaped alley in the town center—a spot known for its bins and service entrances. But the cameras never recorded him leaving. It was as if he had stepped into the shadows and simply vanished.

Police mounted a massive search, scouring the streets, rooftops, and countryside with dogs, helicopters, and volunteers. One theory suggested that Corrie, who had a habit of sleeping in unusual places after a night out, might have climbed into a large commercial bin for rest. Investigators considered the chilling possibility that the bin was emptied into a waste truck, leading to a landfill site containing thousands of tons of rubbish. Despite painstaking searches of the landfill over several years, no trace of Corrie—no clothing, no bones, no belongings—was ever found.

The mystery of Corrie McKeague’s disappearance has haunted Britain ever since. His case sparked wild speculation, from theories of abduction to more paranormal explanations about how someone could enter an alley and never exit. Yet the official investigation leans toward the tragic bin-lorry theory, even without physical evidence to confirm it. Today, Corrie remains one of the most baffling missing person cases in the country, a young man swallowed by the night with no answers left behind.

Edit:
A follower has informed us of a more recent update to this case. (Thank you Freda)

**The most recent significant update is the conclusion of his inquest in March 2022, which found that Corrie died after climbing into a bin that was tipped into a waste lorry, with his death resulting from compression asphyxia. Despite no remains being found, Corrie was legally declared dead in 2022 after an inquest concluded that he was crushed to death.

In June 2001, at the San Ysidro border crossing—the busiest between Mexico and California—immigration agents noticed som**hing unusual about the seat of a vehicle: its shape was abnormally bulky and the seams were poorly made. Upon inspection, they discovered a man hidden inside.

He was Enrique Aguilar Canchola, 42 years old, who had sewn a cover around his body to mimic the car’s original upholstery. His daring attempt became a symbol for those pursuing the American dream.
