BMA House, located in Tavistock Square, London, has been the headquarters of the British Medical Association (BMA) since 1925. Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1911, this Grade II-listed building showcases remarkable architectural features and has served as a significant landmark in Bloomsbury.
BMJ Group has long operated from offices within BMA House. The building features notable elements such as the Gates of Remembrance, dedicated in 1925 to commemorate those lost in the First World War, and a central fountain in the Courtyard honoring the 574 BMA members who died in World War II.
As BMJ Group prepares to leave BMA House due to upcoming renovations, it marks the end of an era for the company within this historic building. This transition offers a moment to reflect on the rich history and architectural splendor of BMA House, which has been an integral part of BMJ Group’s story for decades.
We’re excited for this new chapter—and we look forward to continuing our mission to create a healthier world.
