Lazarus X () is a filmmaker, writer, and cultural architect whose body of work redefines what independent Black cinema can be. Across two

decades of filmmaking, he has cultivated a practice that merges art, autonomy, and ancestral memory — transforming personal narrative into collective healing. Through his twin platforms — ArtHouse Plus+ () and The Artist Temple ()— Lazarus has built a home for creators who see film not only as entertainment but as medicine. The Artist Temple extends that mission inward, offering a spiritual and philosophical framework for creative recovery — a multidisciplinary wellness initiative that teaches artists to sustain their creativity without losing themselves to it. To experience Lazarus X is to step inside an emotional architecture — part cinema, part confession, part resurrection. As a director, he approaches film like an act of design, arranging image, sound, and spirit into spaces of reflection and transformation. His mission is to bridge two worlds: the one where stories are told, and the one where storytellers heal.
