3: Progress 💪 I've noticed new muscles this week & my partner - after asking for years - has finally started coming to the gym with me!
4: Went home for a friend's baby shower, can't believe so many of my friends are actual parents 🥹
5: Trying to get some runs in, which haven't been going great in this weather... Every little helps though! And yes, I wear a vest for very short runs.

- Took a short break from reading but diving back in with We Have Always Lived in the Castle. I honestly can't remember why I bought this one but it's too early to decide if I'm vibing with it!

Happy Squid Game Day! I haven’t started yet, aside from the first episode that we watched earlier in the month, and I’m so worried about how its going to turn out 🫣 We’ve certainly not seen any happy endings so far…

No matter what happens, remember squid game was the 1v1 game at the end of season 1. It’s literally a game called squid, hence squid game. The tournament isn’t called squid game. Squid game is a specific game. There being multiple games in the tournament doesn’t make it “the squid games”. Please stop calling it squid games. The title of the show is literally squid game. Singular. No plural. Stop with the plural. Thank you.

Always grateful for opportunities like this and nothing makes me happier than being able to bring my friends along for the experience 🥹 It’s funny how I randomly met my F1 obsessed friend through streaming and now I get to bring her to things like this!

I won’t say too much about the film but I promise you don’t need to be a racing buff to understand what’s happening. I’m still disappointed that Simone Ashley’s character was cut, and more disappointed that Brad still somehow has a career, but everyone else did a great job - even the incredibly cheesy, incredible British commentators ✨

ad/invite | We are less than 2 weeks away from Squid Game season 3 dropping on Netflix, so to celebrate (feels weird to say celebrate when describing a show about modern inequality, exploitation, and a whole lot of murder) they invited a few of us to London for two days of activities inspired by the show and its location!

We kicked off on Wednesday by changing into our new tracksuits, which were the actually the ones they made for the challenge reality show, then we headed over to Squid Game: The Experience at the Excel. Honestly I did a lot better than I expected, but I didn’t expect much 😅 I won’t give you any spoilers, but even the games you’ve seen in the show have been adapted so there’s surprises in-store for everyone! Though I will say, as with many experiences like this, it’s better to come in a big group of friends because it’s far more fun taking out your friends than random strangers.

We had a little free time before our evening activity so I squeezed in a gym session. The gym at the Corinthia is SO IMPRESSIVE 👏 I’m so used to hotel gyms being awful so it set very high expectations for the spa which, spoilers, I did get to enjoy on Friday morning before checking out. Truly felt like a VIP from the games, just don’t think about how problematic that statement is 🥲

Later we took a Korean cooking class hosted by ! I love Korean cuisine so this was right up my street, plus they were playing k pop the whole time so this whole event really was perfect for me specifically! I already cook Korean dishes at home fairly regularly so always grateful to add more to my recipe bank, especially when I already have all the seasonings in my cupboard. They also started with a quick explanation on how to make traditional cabbage kimchi, which is something I’m still yet to try 🫣 Look, I’m really impatient so I hate meal prepping or having to marinade anything in advance… I’m hoping this is the year I start though! Radish kimchi, or kkakdugi, is my favourite type so seems like a no-brainer to give that a shot first. Wish me luck!

ad/invite - Yesterday I was treated to a special early screening of the new live action How To Train Your Dragon film!!

I'm noticing that it's a common occurrence, at events like this, that social media reactions are permitted almost immediately and then there'll be a separate embargo for official reviews. Now I might be overthinking (as usual) but I don't know what the line is between official review and social media reaction. Speaking honestly, I don't want to get in any trouble 😅 I also know full well that I'm not a film critic so anything I do say is probably fine!

How to train your dragon is such a special film to me so I will admit I was worried about the live action. I'm not the biggest fan of live action adaptations anyway, but I was pleasantly surprised by this one and I did cry... Just a few times... 🫣

Being excited to play GTA VI is great! Not planning on playing GTA VI is also great, it's not everyone's cup of tea! What's weird is commenting on GTA VI news videos about how special and unique you are for not caring about the game 😅 That's the bit I don't understand
