Another 3 cool buses that were around in the 2015/16 period.

Pascal Amodru in his 2332cc NOS powered 67 Kombi High Top Panel Van, pushing out approx. 330bhp and with a PB of 12.10 at 111mph

Chris Lambourne in his 2666cc Turbo powered 62 Split Screen, pushing out approx 571bhp, and with a PB of 12.649 at 113mph

Simon Knief in his 2332cc Turbo powered 65 Split Screen Panel Van, pushing out approx 300bhp, and with a PB of 12.644 at 106mph

These are the 3 buses that ruled the track back in 2015/16 and got me hooked on air-cooled racing.

Andy Morgan in the BUGS VW 62 Kombi Panel Van - pushing out approx. 600bhp from its 2986cc Turbo engine. Got down to an 11.24 I believe.

Trevor Sharpe in The HOT WHEELS 65 Sundial Camper - pushing out over 350bhp from its 2276cc Turbo engine, with a best of 11.59

Phil Jarvis in the FIRE BUS 56 Split Screen Fire Panel Van - pushing out 443bhp from its 2387cc engine and a big shot of NOS. Best time 11.42

The WALKE Motorsport Audi A5 testing at L8-Night in Germany early on in the year. Its 4.2L V8 engine pushing out approx.1500hp, it ran a few 8.7 second passes. Turned up at the RoDrag Racing event to approx. 1600hp and with some track prep it ran a 7.92 at 170mph.

Paul Ciantar in his 2.0L Pinto powered Mk2 Es**rt getting down to an 8.33 at 163mph at Malta Drag Racing Hal Far

Is there a car with less power that has ran into the 9's? The HARRIS Powerhouse 271bhp 2.3L N/A powered MK1 Es**rt driven by Paul Fenech at Malta Drag Racing Hal Far running a 10.0 here, and going on to run a 9.98 at 131mph ☝️

What else is out there? Another Es**rt? A Beetle, a light weight Mini, or a crazy all motor Honda? Let me know 😎😎

One of the quickest cars at the No Prep MPIREuk Racewars event at Manston Raceway Park was this G80 BMW M3 Comp X-Drive, which got so close to a 9 second pass, with a run of 10.05 at 144mph 💪💪

We bumped into Chris Skinner from TAZ Racing at Manston Raceway Park whilst we were at the MPIREuk Racewars event. He was one of the quickest cars on the track, with a best run of 10.0, and we had a quick look round his car 😎😎
