48 hours in Amsterdam, and a very good reminder that we need to come back more often. 🤎

Our Amsterdam weekend was mostly spent wandering along the canals, getting lost between beautiful streets, taking far too many photos and, naturally, planning where we were going to eat next.

For anyone wondering where to stay in Amsterdam, we checked into Pillows Hotel Maurits at the Park , a Small Luxury Hotels of the World member, and it quickly became one of our favourite luxury hotels in Amsterdam. Right beside Oosterpark, it feels peaceful and tucked away while still being perfectly placed for exploring the city.

But the real plot twist of the weekend? The food.

The hotel is home to two very different Amsterdam restaurants and we loved both. Dinner at VanOost was the absolute highlight — creative, beautifully presented and one of those dining experiences you keep talking about afterwards. Then there was Spring Café Brasserie, more relaxed but every bit as memorable and perfect for a long lunch.

Add in canal walks, beautiful architecture and approximately 2,746 photos later… and that was our Amsterdam city break.

Come for the canals, stay for the food.

Amsterdam, we’ll be back. 🔙
