It’s been a huge month at Propeller, packed with new briefs, project launches, client wins… and most importantly, the return of the Propeller Sports Day🏏🏅

In mid-June, the whole team headed to Regent’s Park for an afternoon of (mostly) friendly competition, featuring an egg-and-spoon race, tug of war, rounders, a relay and an extremely chaotic three-legged race.

There was sweat. There were questionable tactics. There may have even been tears. But mostly, there was teamwork, laughter and hell of a lot of shouting. 

After everyone had given it their all on the field, we headed back to the office for a bottle (or three) of post-match champagne and a celebratory boogie, naturally followed by a trip to our favourite kind of finish line: a pub 🍻

Crafting The New JW Lees Website Experience 🍻

has been brewing beer in Manchester since 1828, and is still proudly family-run seven generations later. With 49 pubs, inns, and hotels, and over 100 partner venues, their digital presence needed to reflect the same care, quality, and heritage that defines their real-world experience.

After launching a series of headless websites for their individual pubs, the next step in our eight-year partnership was to bring the main JW Lees site up to the same standard, unifying the digital experience for pub-goers, beer lovers, wholesalers, guests, and prospective operators.

We kicked things off with an in-depth strategy workshop in Manchester, aligning on goals, audiences, and functionality. Navigation was a major focus, with high-priority actions like ‘Book a Table’ and ‘Book a Room’ made easily accessible throughout the site.

The result? A high-performing platform that celebrates the JW Lees brand while driving action. Features include:

🍻 An interactive beer filter to explore the range by flavour, colour, and branding
📍 A reimagined pub finder with postcode search and map markers
📅 Seamless table and room bookings across the estate
📈 Optimised conversion pages for trade and operator enquiries
🕰️ A new interactive timeline and refreshed blog to tell the brand’s story

Fast, scalable, and rooted in the brewery’s legacy, the new site is built to grow with JW Lees, bringing their heritage and hospitality into every digital interaction.

Turns out the best way to get to know your colleagues? Let them feed you 🍔🥗🍩

Today was our annual Propeller Picnic, where everyone brings in a dish they love — no theme, no pressure, just a spontaneous (and sometimes chaotic) spread of flavours, conversation and a break from the usual lunch routine.

Yesterday, our team had the chance to attend AB Tasty's Experience Next at the Barbican, and one thing was crystal clear: the future of digital is all about constant evolution. 🔄

We joined global leaders like PUMA, Kering, L'OCCITANE en Provence, Showroomprive, and SPORT1 to explore the latest in digital optimisation, customer experience, and personalisation.

Propeller Goes Worldwide! 🌎✈️

A couple of weeks ago, our long-term client, , invited us to LA for a strategy alignment and planning workshop for 2025. This wasn’t just a chance to showcase our work, it was an opportunity to highlight Propeller as a global partner delivering innovative digital marketing solutions across borders.

Our Director of Performance, Aurelie Brunet, and Account Manager, Lois Davey, touched down in LA to join Pocari’s agency partners from Japan and the US. Together, they brought their expertise and energy to the table, fostering a truly global collaboration.

The workshop kicked off with a Meet & Connect session, strengthening relationships and aligning goals. Then, we dove into strategy, reviewing Pocari’s objectives and ensuring every agency’s plans aligned with the bigger picture. We shared innovative ideas and focused on integrating and prioritising key initiatives to amplify high-impact programs.

It was a fantastic couple of days full of insightful discussions and bold ideas, laying the groundwork for a game-changing 2025. A big thank you to the Pocari team for hosting and for their continued trust in us.

And of course, shout-out to Aurelie and Lois for representing Propeller with their expertise, energy, and dedication. We’re proud to be part of this journey and SO excited for what’s ahead! 💙💧
