Our young filmmakers in Greece are in full swing at Sparks Film School Athens are creating their brand new film productions this summer.

Company Director Dan met with Konstantinos, international franchisee for Sparks Film School Athens to meet with his team and to see the workshops in action.

It was a delight to see such passionate young filmmakers working hard to tell their stories. And great to see and hear the Sparks workshop formula being delivered in Greece!

Franchisee Konstantinos has done a great job founding his film school and we’re excited to see what’s next for him!

Last week we ran workshop facilitation training days for our freelance team and new franchisee partners who are opening in Bath, Sevenoaks and Bristol.

It was great to spend creative time with the team exploring the Sparks Film School workshop techniques. We explored film facilitation skills, democratic filmmaking techniques and group management skills. All while creating some fun film productions.

Back where it all started! This summer, we have Action Replay Summer Shoots taking place at Broomwood Prep Boys in Balham, one of our earliest venues and the base of the first Sparks Film School.

Congratulations to our young filmmakers who are busy putting their monster themed short films into production this week.

Our young directors are busy designing, storyboarding, shooting and crewing their own films ahead of post-production workshops at the end of the week.

It’s brilliant to see the crew hard at work as they produce their films and share their ideas.

It was fabulous to spend Saturday with the local Heads of Sparks Film Schools from around the UK at our annual conference!

Whenever we are all lucky enough to meet up in person, we’re reminded of just how passionate, creative and talented our team is, and it’s humbling for us to be able to spend the day chatting all things film and media education in such inspiring company!

We’re on set today on our Dream to Screen February half term project, as we explore screenwriting. Our young filmmakers are bringing their scripts to life on screen.   Watching our young storytellers develop their characters and plot twists is absolutely inspiring!
