The first image I created with with a window theme.

I imagined a bush standing in front of the window casting a shadow, which in turn changes the opacity of the window as the light bounces off.

Self portrait process video.

Unfortunately I colour dropped by accident mid painting and nearly ruined the picture… twice! You can see the background disappear in the Timelapse (I need to stop using the iPad control centre when in Procreate). Luckily I was using two layers and could easily amend without too much of a problem. 😅

“Is this your card?”

All jokes aside this is probably one of the smoothest poses by anyone I have worked as they hold up my neutral grey card. (It’s for white balance correction and not really magic).

Going back to my roots… and unfortunately I don’t mean bartending.

Not a lot of people know that before I started my career in hospitality, commercial photography was my chosen career in the lead up to moving to London.

Sadly, it swiftly became a neglected skill as I fell more and more in love with bartending and the creative side of the drinks industry as I made money through university.

In fact, the final nail in the coffin was meeting and seeing the skills of and having the best 5:1 Tanq 10 and Lillet Blanc at ’s martini masterclass at Bar 2010 that drove me out of my photography career (or maybe it was all the free champagne and oysters on offer at the show). Either way, my photography career didn’t seem as glamorous anymore and bartending was definitely way more fun.

However brief my photography career was at the time, it has still remained a passion that I have practiced over the years. The skills I learnt also lead me to my digital art and design work, which I have been so busy with recently.

A new opportunity has led me back full circle and I am now happy to start sharing some images again. Not to worry though, as I still draw and will indeed share some art of my more recent commissions that have been completed. I just want you to be prepared to see more photos now that I have the confidence to share something that was lost and not forgotten and something I hope to turn back into a career again.

Thank you everyone who had helped and believed in me over the years and to all of those who have taken the time to read this all way through.

You are all amazing and I can’t thank you enough! X

P.s. I hope you like the images as I begin to share them.

⁣Time lapse process video. This is one of the fastest paintings i’ve created.

I love the loose style, however, i find it hard not to draw more detail as I paint. I just get lost in the process and then suddenly think “f**k it, i’ve gone too far and might as well carry on”.

I definitely stood outside of my comfort zone with this one. I tried to speed up my process, which worked well to begin with. However I shot myself in the foot after trying out a new brush set and had to go back over again.
