For those days when our skin just needs a little bit of extra help... 🙌✨

Puffiness on some days, fine lines on others... most of the time our eyes need help with both, don't they? 🙋‍♀️💚💖

When you look at eye patches, they all pretty much look the same. But different formulas actually target completely different points depending on what is going on with your skin.
(And no, I’m not suggesting we start wearing a mismatched pair —this is just a quick visual comparison to see what they do!)

Here is how they actually work for us (TEMPORARILY, of course!):

For puffiness ( DetoxifEYE): Look for ingredients like caffeine and cucumber to refresh and wake up tired skin.
Tip: I keep these green ones in the fridge! Combining the cold temperature with the caffeine works wonders to quickly cool down, soothe, and shift fluid buildup under the eyes.

For fine lines and dehydration ( Collagen Peptide): Look for formulas packed with low-molecular collagen and peptides (like these pink ones) to focus purely on plumping up the skin and smoothing things over.

The UNIVERSAL TRICK you need to try:
No matter what brand of eye patches you use at home, changing the direction completely changes where you get the most benefits!

• Wide end inside: Places the bulk of the product right where fluid pools to target stubborn puffiness.

• Turn it around (Wide end outside): Shifting the wide, juicy end to the outer corners lets it hug and deeply hydrate our lines instead.

Have you ever felt a bit overwhelmed trying to find a foundation that actually looks nice on your skin now?

What coverage you like is a personal choice up to you, and there are brilliant products out there to suit exactly what you are after.

For skin over 40, formulas packed with skincare goodness are the only real given to stop the makeup from drying out.
Of course, what we do before makeup is equally important—your skincare prep makes a massive difference to how it applies.

I’ve swatched 5 completely different bases on one side of my face so you can see how that coverage shifts:

Double Wear: Rich matte, maximum coverage, ultimate staying power.

Luminous Silk: Soft, fluid satin with beautiful, buildable coverage.

: Teint Miracle: Mid-weight liquid that brings fresh, radiant brightness.

'Oréalparis : True Match Serum: Ultra-light fluid tint for a natural, dewy finish.

CC Cream: Lightweight cream that quickly blurs out redness.

I personally prefer using a foundation brush, because sponges tend to absorb the skincare hydration we want on our face, but a brush presses it directly into the skin for the smoothest blend.

(Quick side note - I know some of these are not the correct colour on me & from my professional kit. I've also kept out of the sun this summer, but you can see exactly how the textures sit!)
