Millfield Theatre has officially reopened following a major refurbishment, marking the beginning of a bold new era under the leadership of Platinum Performing Arts, who stepped in to invest in and secure the future of the theatre at a time when venues across the country were facing closure.

The evening was marked by a ribbon cutting ceremony led by Broadway and West End star Marisha Wallace, officially welcoming audiences back to the “Home of Entertainment in North London.”

Nina Lewis, Founder of Platinum Performing Arts, said: “Millfield Theatre is now both a performance venue and an education hub, a home for qualifications, workshops, and creative pathways that take young people and young adults from community access through to real professional opportunity. This journey has only been possible because people believed in Platinum’s vision.”We have the power to make a make a change”

Millfield Theatre is now open, welcoming the community to experience the next chapter of creativity in North London.

Are you a budding local young artist with a love for creativity? Get ready to showcase your skills in the most exciting art competition of the year! We want you to draw, paint or collage a SWAN from Pymmes Park. The best entries will be displayed at the new Pymmes Park cafe.

The swimming pool at Edmonton Leisure Centre in The Broadway will re-open on Monday 4 August after major refurbishment work.

New dry-side facilities at Edmonton Leisure Centre were formally re-opened on 28 April

The facilities include a brand-new gym featuring the latest fitness equipment, a dedicated cycle studio, sports hall, fitness class studio and soft play area.

The upgraded facilities at the centre are designed to meet the needs of the local community and support residents in achieving their health and wellbeing goals.

The Pavilion on the Green will be host to a number of open picnics, on selected Saturday’s over the summer and autumn season.

Bring your picnic baskets, blankets and chairs, and join us for a chill afternoon.
(No Barbecues. No Alcohol.)
