Red White and Black Film Support Page Feature length documentary film taking a candid look into the growth of the black liberation movement in the US and their fight against police brutality.

Topical, hard-hitting documentaries concerning mainly the black community. My current film looks at police brutality in the US and the black liberation movements response. Also their reaction and how things have changed for them (the community) and why they have stepped up protection since Trumps government. This is an up close and personal documentary, like never before where the militia's are fr

ank, open and honest about who they are and why they feel that there will only be justice and peace after a revolution.

The United States may be the setting for many instances of police brutality, but it is not exclusive to that country alone. Unfortunately, there have been cases of police violence right here in our own community. One such incident that deeply affected me in the US was the tragic death of Eric Garner in 2014, may he rest in peace, at the hands of law enforcement. Witnessing this event was a wake-up call for me, as it opened my eyes to the harsh reality of police brutality that exists closer to home than I had realised.

Motivated by a newfound awareness and a desire to shed light on this pressing issue, I embarked on a journey to create a film that would bring attention to the problem and spark conversations about it. However, despite my efforts, the British media establishment did not see the significance of the project, especially coming from a black female filmmaker. This lack of support led to the film being left in my archive, waiting for the opportunity to be brought to life.

Just when it seemed like the dust had settled a little, another disturbing incident of blatant racism and unchecked brutality emerges, serving as a stark reminder of the ongoing challenges we face in combating systemic injustices. Despite the obstacles and lack of recognition, I remain determined to see my film come to fruition, as it stands as a testament to the struggles faced by victims of police brutality and the urgent need for change in our society.
