We’ve been eating our way through the delicious Mediterranean-inspired menu at Kuro Eatery, the new food-focused sibling of Notting Hill fave Kuro Coffee.

We were particularly wowed by the tagliatelle with smoked cheese, egg yolk and crispy pork.

And don’t tell everyone, but the bakery round the corner, Kuro Bakery, serves up some cracking cakes. We managed to squeeze a couple in!

We’ve grown significantly over the last couple of years and having Charlotte at the helm of the division and bringing a wealth of industry experience, we’re not slowing down in 2023!

Last week we took a trip to , the must-attend 100% plant-based event designed exclusively for foodservice and retail professionals, distributors, investors, and manufacturers.

Amongst many plant-based innovators, we were impressed by and who are doing amazing things in the plant-based meat alternative sector. And , which takes inspiration from all over the globe to elevate vegetables to the fore.

We were also interested to see growth in plant-based seafood options and can see it certainly making waves over the next 12 months. Particularly with the likes of .uk and .uk who’s level of creativity made our jaws drop!

There’s so much to be excited about in plant-based food, especially with so many at the expo demonstrating how far the boundaries can be pushed with the simplest ingredients.

We can’t wait to see how the plant-based food industry grows in 2023!

Two of team WM had the wonderful opportunity to meet with a couple of weeks ago to try some the PFS products first-hand.

Charlotte and Lizzie had the chance to make a whole range of delicious dishes in the Premier Foods demo kitchen, such as:

🍛 A meatball dish and a vegetable curry using fortified Homepride and Sharwood’s sauces
🍲 Fortified vegetable soup
🍌 Banana Angel Delight
🍰 Victoria sponge
🍞Bread using own branded Hovis bread mix - which only needed one proof!

This week we were in Nottingham at the NACC Training and Development Forum with our client Premier Foods, who were showcasing its range of Batchelors fortified soups. Along with cookery demonstrations and tastings, it was great to see independent dietician, Juliette Kellow, talking about the new Premier Foods, Souper 7 Benefits Pack which is available to care chefs.
