Five games, no wins, 2 goals scored (with only one by a Spurs player) and 8 conceded.

I told you from experience, . Spending and getting loads of new players doesn’t guarantee results!

Who is going to finish higher this year?

That is up there with some of the worst second-half performances in 2026.

Chelsea were two teams in those two halves defensively, but when the front-line isn’t firing, the defence needs to be. A lot of room for improvement, and it needs to happen fast.

A frustrating day at Stamford Bridge where old habits were on show against Hull.

Gusto continues to frustrate to the point where he’s maybe turning into a Maresca plant, but some positive signs from Morgan Rogers. Chelsea just need to play to their strengths.

Chelsea 6-3 Leeds.

Something tells me that this year is NOT going to be a boring one.

Chelsea showing signs of the previous few years in that first half, and then, well, taking it up a gear doesn’t quite cut the mustard with that second half.

WOW.

Arsenal 2-1 Chelsea.

Chelsea showed some good signs today, and VARsenal were about, but the issues that we worried about were on full display today.

Defensively, Chelsea are going to need to improve, and the midfield needs to be addressed quickly to ease concerns for the season.

And so the Enzo Fernandez saga comes to a close. Off he goes to Manchester City after behaving like a petulant child.

Is what it is at the end of the day. Am I gutted we’ve lost him? Not really. We’ve made our money back and are investing it in people who want to be here.

I thought they wanted to finish above 17th this year?

A hectic game, but 3 points on board in the first home game of the season. A long way to go, but definitely signs of improvement and entertainment!

Not passing sideways is nice…

This has the potential to be Chelsea’s most important signing of the Boehly/Clearlake era.

A position that has needed to be addressed since 2023, and we’ve brought in a World Cup winning keeper in Emi Martinez. Massive for mentality, massive for the development of Penders. Excited.

Job done by Chelsea against Jack Wilshere’s Luton. Not a spectacle, but a thoroughly professional job which is exactly what we wanted.

Can’t complain. Onto the next.
