Awakening launched an innovative new partnership to support displaced people in collaboration with The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and Human Crescent.

The announcement was made by Peter Sands, Executive Director of The Global Fund at the Malaria Summit London during CHOGM 2018. The Malaria Summit London was attended by influential global actors including Bill Gates, HRH Prince of Wales and UK Secretary of State for International Development.

Human Crescent, created by Awakening and Finocracy is a strategic crowdfunding technology platform to accelerate the impact of Muslim philanthropy through collective, accountable giving online. In its inaugural year it will support the provision of critical healthcare for displaced people, including tackling malaria.

One Family, a digital first and technology driven social impact venture established by Awakening last year, will also work towards achieving the ambition of impacting 1 million displaced people through Human Crescent’s inaugural campaign.
