Love it when my AI books appointments for me and gives support and reassurance to first time gym visitors! 🤖

This guy is booked in for tomorrow at 10.45am and the AI spoke with him in a perfectly friendly and welcoming tone!

I have no sales staff on shift on Friday evenings, so it’s great that AI can speak with inbound leads and convert them into appointments like this. Without it, I would’ve missed the opportunity to get this prospect as a member tomorrow.

Pilates Studio Opening in London! 🎉

I’m thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of our brand new Pilates studio in the heart of London! The building was previously home to Geek Retreat, a gaming café. We’ll be renovating it into a Pilates studio over the coming months.

I have 3 years of experience running a gym, but this new venture brings fresh challenges.

14 ➡️ 24 ➡️ 29

The last 5 years have flown by. I still feel like I’m 24, just with a few more aches and pains from gym injuries 😅

As I approach my 30s, I’ve become way more focused on building my business. Work has gone from being just a job to a passion - and often an addiction my wife has to drag me away from!

A lot of us can feel like we haven’t achieved enough, or maybe we look at others our age and think they’re further along.

For some years, I felt this way. My friends had careers and had savings and investments, whereas all of my savings had been invested into my business and I wasn’t seeing a profit. I did wonder if it had been better for me to get a job and save myself the stress and sleepless nights.

However, my perspective has shifted. The skills and experience you gain from running a business (or even your first job) are worth more than the money you make.

In the long run, investing in yourself is the most valuable thing you can do because at the end of it all, the only thing your really ever always have is yourself and the confidence you have in your abilities.

What you do with those skills and abilities, that’s what will define your success.

Let’s hope I’m in a position to prove these words right when I post again in 5 years… and maybe with fewer gym injuries this time 😆.

I typically find this type of training pretty dry… 🥱

However, our recent session with Julian was a game-changer. He made the class incredibly practical and engaging. We worked through multiple scenarios, with Julian playing out various medical emergencies (his role as a choking victim and the “annoying passer-by” were spot on 😂 👌).

Now, not only do the team and I feel confident in handling potential emergencies, but it also turned into a great team-building experience. We left the day with new skills and shared memories.

This picture generated more sales than me holding the sign did…

When I first opened my gym three years ago, marketing felt like a foreign language. I thought if I just provided a great space, people would come. And they did—but not nearly enough.

I didn’t realise that in today’s world, it’s not just about what you offer but how you tell your story. I used to think holding a sign was enough (as you can see in the picture). But what I’ve learnt is that marketing is more than just getting attention—it’s about connecting with people on a deeper level.

We decided to use this picture in our online ads, and the results were incredible. It turns out a simple, eye-catching image like this can interrupt someone’s scrolling experience and grab their attention in a way that a generic gym ad never could. It’s different, it’s real, and that’s what makes it work.

As a local business owner, you must rank No.1 in your area when someone searches for a gym. This is heavily influenced by your website and, even more importantly, by your Google Business Profile. 📈
