Deeply grateful 🙏
For the 2nd consecutive year, a company, Emerald Hospitality Group, I started 8 years ago with my twin brother, A***n Zandi, was awarded as one of the top 100 companies in the UK with the fastest growth by the The Times.
While the UK feels like home, it isn’t where I was born, nor brought up in. Yet, my brother and I came to this country with a lot of ideas, passion, and ambition.
Honestly, from a logical perspective, the path was challenging, but from an emotional lens, it was the most exciting journey I could think of for my 20s.
We built a company in 7 years that employs hundreds of people and contributes millions of pounds every year to the UK economy.
Today we celebrate 2025, but also the last 7 years of our lives.
Because a founder’s first years are a one-way romance with your business, with little room for anything else.
So this goes for our first love, and our first baby, Emerald Hospitality Group. We like to think that we gave you as much as you gave us.
Thank you to all our talented and hard-working team for being part of this journey, and to our shareholders for believing in our vision.
Last night, I went to bed like a kid whose Christmas gifts were exactly what he hoped for, and I can’t put into words what that does to my motivation and fuel to continue building, creating, and adding value through my work.
