Mummy and daddy love you so very much.

Thank you to our one in a million family and incredible village of friends / sisters for all your help and support.

On Saturday 9th May our beautiful little Lily was born.
The most precious little thing with the loudest scream.

When I found out I was pregnant, Lily was just a Poppy seed.
And she grew inside me into the most precious perfect, little baby girl.

I never knew the baby blues were a thing.
Happy one minute and crying the next.
Anxious, nervous, panicky, happy, sad - all the emotions rolled into one.
Asking all my wonderful mum friends if it’s normal and if they felt it too just so I don’t feel so broken.

But above the blues, I feel so lucky and so grateful to be able to say I am finally a mummy.
I have my own little family and have what I’ve always dreamt of.

My own mummy tells me ‘you were destined to be a mummy with all that love you have to give and the blue will pass.’

No one told me how much I would need cuddles from my own mum and dad when I gave birth. How lucky am I they are just round the corner.

Forever grateful for my husband.
I chose him so carefully.
I didn’t think I could love him any more than I did until Lily came into our lives.
My darling Drew, you are the most natural and wonderful daddy.
Looking after both me and Lily when we cry.

Lily Denise Sandra Sayles, 7lb 4, born 8 days ago without much notice by Caesarean.
Already the light of our lives and already ruling our lives. 😂😩

We love you our little girl, Lily.

In June, I married my best friend - my soul mate.
The person I had been waiting for for so long.

We met in April 2024, got engaged in October 24, got married on 21st June 2025.
2 weeks before our wedding, I got a grade 5 level Bell’s palsy meaning one side of my face completely paralysed.

On our wedding day, half my face was touching my tit! (Literally) and my beautiful boy still thought I was the most beautiful person he’d ever seen.

The universe couldn’t have found me any more of a perfect soul mate.

And now our next chapter begins ……
