Announcing the third edition of the PL Pamphlet Prize! The winner will receive £250, publication of their pamphlet with Poetry London Editions, and ten author copies of the work.

This year’s judge is . Andrew McMillan is the author of three collections of poetry, physical, playtime and pandemonium, a novel, Pity, and the co-editor of the anthology 100 Q***r Poems. He lives in Manchester

Entry costs are £20 per pamphlet, or £10 per pamphlet for current subscribers. Please only submit 24 pages of poetry. Find out more and enter at the link in our bio.

Join Poetry London at the Free Verse Poetry Book and Magazine Fair tomorrow, St Columba's Church Of Scotland, Knightbridge, from 11am (quiet hour) or 12-6pm. Stay on for the readings afterwards. There is a very interesting panel on polylingual poetry before the fair at 10.15, with the National Poetry Competition winner, translators and publishers.

Entries for the 2025 Poetry London Prize are now open!

This year's judge is Victoria Kennefick.

Victoria Kennefick is a writer, poet, editor and teacher. Her debut collection, Eat or We Both Starve (Carcanet Press, 2021), won the Seamus Heaney First Collection Poetry Prize and the Dalkey Book Festival Emerging Writer of the Year Award. It was shortlisted for the T.S. Eliot Prize, the Costa Poetry Book Award, Derek Walcott Prize for Poetry and the Butler Literary Prize. Her second collection, Egg/Shell (Carcanet Press, 2024) was a Poetry Book Society Choice for Spring 2024 and BBC Poetry Extra Book of the Month for March as well as a Book of the Year in The Telegraph, The Sunday Independent and The Poetry Society UK. She is the 2025 Arts Council of Ireland/Trinity College Dublin Writer Fellow.

Entry costs are £10 per poem, or £5 per poem for subscribers. There are a limited number of free entries for writers from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds.

Poetry Workshop: For The Record – (re)Writing The Past

What does it mean to write hidden or obscured histories? What are the challenges and responsibilities?

Led by poet Annemarie Ní Churreáin, this workshop will explore family stories, social histories, and the role of folklore and the Otherworld in poetry. Participants will engage in reading contemporary poetry, creative writing prompts, and discussion. Ní Churreáin will also present Ghostgirl, her pamphlet responding to the archives of the Stranorlar Mother & Baby Home, described by Poetry Ireland Review as “one of the most important poetry pamphlets published in contemporary Ireland.”

Tickets: £20, £15 for Poetry London subscribers
